Here goes a small update to fix some problems:

- Fixed "character stuck" in the Stage 6 trees during throw or slam;
- Fixed "Vehelits pain animation" during Adam/Shiva Rage moves that push opponents to the ground;
- Added "reset-time script" after Harakiri and Shiva deaths during Stage 8;

Since Kratus, you have a lot on your plate working on this incredible game you're making, I have a question that is merely food for thought.

For streets of rage 2 level you are using, have you ever entertained the idea of adding to, or upgrading the current belt scroll backdrops?
For instance, the 2nd level on the bridge being a bike chase like in SORR or when the fighters go in the truck it starts moving or something like that.
Or, the amusement park level having a couple of extra small side scrolls like a fun house level inbetween the pirate part and back to the walkway.
Y'know stuff like that.

Good, now I can see the problem. This script is used to toss the entity "mrx_bullet" from Mrx weapon. For some reason the name of this entity is empty and not correctly loaded.

Unpacked my version 1.4 and I can see "mrx_bullet" twice in models.txt. The first is using "load" for playable Mrx and a second reference is using "know" in enemy Mrx. So, you can remove the second referente because the entity "mrx_bullet" is the same for playable and enemy Mrx versions. This is a decoration entity only.

The engine can sometimes try the "know" reference but it is not loaded in char header. For the next version this second reference was removed

Once again thanks Kratus for your help and great efforts with creating this game. Right now I create new Megamix project with new playable characters and your advice about difference between "load" and "know" commands was very useful, the same bug I encountered in latest version when I removed enemy playable characters (I don't need them since I want to create greater variation of playable characters).
 
how about the good guys from the Bad Dudes Arcade game? it is the guys on the left. Blade in black and white and Striker in green and white.

just wanted to say i completed this game with 2 friends and we had a great time playing (v1.4 if correct), keep up the great work, is there a changelog regarding the updates ?

Hi friends!!

The project is not dead, is more alive than you think! I'm working hard and after a long time with no updates I'll show you what's coming.

- New "Extra Menu" content, now you can customize your SOR2X experience
- New "Select Level" menu, finish the game to unlock
- New "Rebellion" mode, now all enemies are playable in a separated game mode
- New Routes, now you can play in SOR3 stages mixed with SOR2 as a unique large city
- New alternative ending for SOR2 story
- "Extra Menu" is partially accessible in-game
- New characters from SOR3

Kratus: Zan is in tha place! Any chance Roo/Victy and Ash join later in the game?
This reminds me that I worked on a complete Electra playable character, using original (JAP) and censored (US) version:

The idea is that Electra tears off her clothes when she's selected (she looks like a horsewoman like this don't you think? :) ):

I've added new animations to her, using with klares agreement for some of his sprites.
I think that she can take weapons and enhance the electric skill/ damage with these tools.
 
Elle was one of my favourite characters in SoRR so it'd be great to see a full playable her again.

Cool work there, but I think the electricity should be separated from her body.  And also, are you considering expanding certain other enemy characters in the game?  Like maybe Garnet, Soozie, or Nora?
 
O Ilusionista: Thanks for your kind, Openbor offers the possibility for some character to shine like they're never been, Genesis's palette is limited, Openbor not :).
I'm very attempted to rework on all characters and allow to them wonderful designs and palettes :)

Psykai: If SOR3 Elle/Electra is requested, I can make her at priority.

Miru: Separated, you mean an another image for electricity or a special effect?
I'm thinking more of Mona/Lisa and draw her like Major Makoto Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell):

Thanks man! The "Extra Menu" works before game starts or using "screenshot" button in-game.
Now the "screenshot" function is disabled by default but you can enable it in the "Extra Menu" and take your screens normally. You need to press screenshot button twice to not take extra menu content in your images.

Nice work with Electra! Yes, Roo/Victy and Ash will join in the Rebellion mode, that is specifically created for playable enemies/bosses and custom characters, like @Red Crimson/@Gsaurus Syndicate Wars hack. This mode is a tribute to them that helped me a lot with tools and tutorials in my old hacks
