I tried using a program called Playnite.

I was looking for a way to organize and launch games on my PC—much like how Steam or an emulator handles it—when I came across this program. Since it allows for direct game launching, I think it would be great to use on a portable device as well. Of course, it does require some extra effort to create icons or cover art.

I was using Launchbox, but recently switched to the Emulation Station.
I will check the Playnite too, it looks interesting.
