Oh Thath s sad..  :'(
Gif are not good at looking for cutscenes...
Its sad there is not any mean
Thanks for reply

i ve tried just for test, converting that marvel movies intro
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTDNosVEEyk

into a gif animation using the format factory
but there is a way to do it without color loss and with 960x540 size?

I haven't used format factory much, I've always used 'Jasc Animation Shop'

To change resolution in FF thou, once you click 'All To Gif' Click 'Output Setting' under video stream tree, Click Video Size and manually type in 960x540

It's hard not to get color loss with an animation like this, with all the pictures it cycles through, a 256 color palette isn't going to work too well.  I didn't like the results in format factory just converting the whole video, when I tried with Animation Shop converting the whole video I had much nicer results, thou still some color loss.

There's around 300 frames, you could split it up into smaller parts, say 20 frames each segment, or possibly less, add frames until you start getting color loss. (I just tried this, probably going to be even less than 10 frames per segment to keep all colors)

I had a go of the marvel intro using 'Jasc Animation Shop', here's the file I made, 13mb filesize, some colour loss but still looks pretty good.  This is converting the whole video without splitting it up.  If it was split up into segments in full colour, OTOH you would probably end up with 30mb of .gif files or more.

FILE - marvel_intro_gif.rar

If you're not happy with this result I can try split it into segments for you, this will take some time thou.

.GIF for cutscenes is a real problem for high-res mods, at 960x540 cutscenes become huge in filesize.  I have 200mb of scenes in my mod atm, just for an intro segment.

untunnels suggested a while back it might be possible to add .OGG video support to openbor.  hopefully something like this is added one day.

amazing!  BeasTie thank you very much!
i already have give up to try this into my mods but now i will try it!

edit
i tested it inside my mod and with 2 displays one 23" and another 47" the color loss and big squares in the video can be noticed easily, but you way is much better than the results i´ve got when i tried to create it. I will keep this intro in all my mods!
if you want to try create a even better version using this split method you said, i will like even more and update the current one into my mods.
thank you very much!

No problem :)

I'll try the split version for you, It will probably only give better colour thou, the original video is already blocky.

Openbor supports individual palette for each gif frame.
So gif convertors know how to create local palettes, while some don't, they will use a global palette instead.

I remember you saying this, but I couldn't find a program that will make a .gif like that.

EDIT : Pretty sure this is using local palettes already,  but there is colour loss because the original images are way over 256 colours each.

Is there a particular program that you use UT?  Or have you just tested the feature using an existing .gif?

Did you ever get a chance look into adding .ogg video or PNG anims like you mentioned once?
