In Progress Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon vs. Nightmare

The project is currently under development.
The idea is interesting.
But I'm truely worried you burn yourself trying to convert them to these school costumes.
But you decide. :)
If I were to bring the idea to life, it would likely be sometime in the future.
It might just remain an idea, but for now, I’d like to create a demo version.

I am currently revising the Sailor Chibi Moon sprites.

It seems that due to the limitations of the 16-bit format, the original design prioritized color economy and matching.

For instance, yellow accents were completely omitted, and the outlines for the skin, hair, and clothing were all unified using a reddish hue.

Since I am making only simple adjustments, the result looks like the image shown here.

This test video showcases the "Super Moves" of the Sailor Guardians.
Most of these are projectile-based attacks with a wide range.
Chibi Moon's move, in particular, deals multiple hits over a longer duration.
Mercury and Mars have similar performance characteristics, while Jupiter—despite slightly lower power—boasts the largest attack range.

While you may have caught a glimpse of this in a previously uploaded test video, today’s clip shows the attacks actually being applied to enemies.
The "Super Move" has such a wide range that you can trigger it just about anywhere and still land satisfying hits on your foes.

In this video, I’ve adjusted the sound effects for Sailor Venus’s transformation sequence—which were previously a bit too faint—to make them more audible. I’ve also added a "super move" for Sailor Venus.
Additionally, while I previously used the same "hit flash" effect for both light and heavy attacks, I’ve now introduced a new, distinct flash effect specifically for heavy attacks.

I’ve refined the animation for Sailor Venus’s super move.
In the sequence where light gathers, there was a 3-frame segment where it was unclear whether the light was converging or dispersing; by changing this to 4 frames, it now clearly looks like it’s coming together.

In *Sailor Moon*, villains are often twisted, malevolent versions of their original forms; with that in mind, I’ve come up with some concepts for my own bosses.
Following the muscular female boss for Stage 1—which I’ve already revealed—here are the concepts I’ve settled on for the others:

Ultimate Beauty: Nightmare Beauty (Stage 1 Boss)
Pop Legend: Nightmare Emperor of Pop
Queen of Precious Gems: Nightmare Emerald
Dangerous Bomber: Nightmare Bomb
Doll-like Appearance: Nightmare Doll
Self-Proclaimed "Real" Sailor Guardian: Nightmare Moon Warrior
Combat Maid: Nightmare Maid
Fist of Justice: Nightmare "Big Bro" (Aniki)

All the bosses share the "Nightmare" prefix, and if they were to appear in a game, this is likely how they would be named.

Nice!
I'm pretty hyped for this archetype bad girl ! "Combat Maid: Nightmare Maid"
What about her design and fighting style ?

I have updated the content of the Sailor Moon prologue using the terminology recently established.
Where the term "Senshi" (戦士) was previously used, it has now been changed to "Guardian."
