Yes, you may place it under miscellaneous gaming. I played the demo BTW. Nice looking artwork, but the animations need some work, and it's not an engine issue. Just bad offsets during attacks that make the character look like they're standing on ice. I would fix those - because your average user doesn't make the distinction between art and offset errors vs. engine quality.

I tried posting the introduction in Miscellaneous Gaming, but the forum rejected it as spam-like or containing inappropriate elements. The post included links to the web demo and project page, so I'm wondering whether links are triggering the filter.

Could you please advise how I should post the approved introduction with its links, or check whether my account needs any posting permissions? Beat 'em Up Maker is completely free.

Sorry, forgot about that - it's an anti-spam feature. You just need to participate with a small number of posts before something with a link is accepted, and I can't change it for one without changing it globally. I don't want to disclose the number for bots to pick up, but you are already very close.
