Beaten Battletoads (NES)

Hey guys, it's been a while since I last posted something here.
I just wanted to share that I've finally beaten Battletoads on the NES 

I could always beat the game by using the warps, but it never really felt good to me. I wanted to be able to beat it without cheats, warps and/or Action Replay codes. And now I did it. It really feels great. The levels that gave me the most trouble were Level 4: Arctic Caverns, Level 6: Karnath's Lair and Level 7: Volkmire's Inferno.

My favourite, however, still remains the crossover with Double Dragon. I know this is kind of a useless topic but I only wanted to share this with fellow 'Beat 'em up' fans.

Did anyone else here beat the game as well?

Congratulations, man!

I have never beaten NES Battletoads, nor have I gotten anywhere near it. I can eat the Megaman games for breakfast, and Castlevania is just a pleasant stroll for me. But Battletoads? That motorcycle level in the cave still gives me nightmares.

On a side note, I also always preferred the NES version of the Double Dragon crossover, too! The SNES version is clearly superior, sure, but there's a certain charm to it. Even though they were released at the same time, the NES version seems like an official "demake," if that makes any sense. It's remarkable how it manages to be the exact same game--right down to the physics--just on an 8-bit console.

i was playing with cousin when i was 14 and beat almost entire game but it hangs on this level wqhen you play 2 player mode and you cant beat the game

I dont remember if i beat it on my own but i see screenshot of all levels and i do remember last one.I also beat battletoads & DD but it was much shorter game.

As far as I'm aware, that level has been fixed in my version of the game (European version).
But I can see how frustrating it would be after getting so far in the game, to only die at that point.

Hmm, me and my friend beat the Battletoads U rom and we didn't encounter any bugs like that ?
The surf level took like 1231232132 tries to beat....

I dont know why it crashed but we tried several times and it was alwas the same crash on this level when it starts, we only managed to play it in single player.
I remember we used some glitch so when you press DPAD in the middle then you wll get 5 lives , i dont remember exactly when but probably on turbo tunnel.It could be used only once.
