Seriously, I have no idea if it's any good, but the beat-em-up and older games references got me really interested! :D
(not to mention the adorable pixel art)

I'm surprised you haven't yet.
There are loads of bad comercial games around (specially for mobiles), while at the same time, there are lots of great mods.
I suppose the copyright thing with all the recycled sprites is the killer, but most people around here do amazing stuff.
 
in fact, I have some plans to jump in comercial games, but I am a lazy bitch, lol
I already made some games on the past, for some companies, as Ad campaigns
