Hi guys, I've started with O Ilusionista a new wikia with the objective to gather all sprites from every fighting game (beat'em up, versus, platformer) ever made.

-What's the difference between the wikia and current sprites sites?
Basically, the wikia will be just a quick reference of the sprites of a game. So, we will have just ONE sprite/frame of each character.

-Just one sprite? Why making such project?
Have you ever wanted to fnd out a good base for a custom sprite and didn't know where to look? Have you ever wanted to search interesting sprites to rip? This wikia will provide a samples of all characters so rippers and spriters can find quickly what they need.
Do you like sites like Scrollboss and Arcade Quartermaster but unfortunelly you didn't found THAT game you like in these sites? So, the wikia allows anyone to edit and add content.

We need A LOT of help on the wikia, so please join us on this project!

This is possible on wikia sites. 

It's the categories feature. For example, Wolverine sprite from Mutant Apocalypse (SNES) is "tagged" as Male Character and 16bits. Also a page will be made showing all Wolverine sprites (from other games), for example.

oh, thanks for putting it here. And I saw that you already have one page, that is nice!

This project, in fact, started many years ago (2005) when Wikia wasn't made yet and I had no php knowledge, at MugenBR forum, the biggest brazilian Mugen forum ever existed, where I was admin. The original topic is here (in portuguese) http://forum.mgbr.net/index.php?showtopic=34194

On the original idea, we had ripped some chars sprites from fighting games (then we added beat em up games) so creators could find some cool char to code.

All the chars were put on this template:

Justice League Task Force/Acclaim/Sunsoft/Condor/1995/ Mega Drive

(playable chars facing right, boss or extra chars facing left)

But now, with WIKIA, everything is easier! Cyrrus even made one page: http://fighters-database.wikia.com/wiki/X-Men:_Mutant_Apocalypse_(SNES)

So, if there is anyone which wants to contribute, just let us know.
