Hey folks, since making a standard "hey, I'm new here" post isn't really my thing, and being that I am someone that can contribute to the gaming community in general, just figured I'd share a link to my Google Drive that has some demo songs I created. Some are brand new, some are very very old, and others are somewhat "modern" I guess. I suppose that really depends on the year that people look at them. But anyways, I'm Josh (or Joshua), been a Game Music Composer (also known as a "Game Musician") since late 2002, probably early 2003, not entirely sure. But I've been doing this sort of thing for a VERY LONG time, started out with some smaller lesser known and even lesser played RPG Maker games for RPG Maker 2000, and even tried to make my own games, but coding and creating games just isn't something I know how to do. While I do suppose I am full of ideas for games, I wouldn't know how to create them or where to start, fortunately there are programs like RPG Maker, Stencyl, OpenBOR, MUGEN, and others that seem to help with that process, although... being as I don't know a single thing about how to create even the simplest of games, I figured I would just stick to doing what I know... and that is... making music.
Well, with that said, cause I don't want to bore you and I don't want to leave you going "god, this guy is so full of himself", let me just show you some of the stuff I do in the link below (which can also be accessed through my Twitch page linked on my profile on here).

In there, you will find a nice diversity of sound, ranging from some more ambient kind of tones, to chiptune and some other stuff in between. All of them have been re-uploaded from the original files on my flash drive (which are so obnoxious in size, that I had to convert them all into OGG just for people to be able to play them in the browser). So yeah... I plan on uploading more, and I'm also taking requests. Currently I have some requests already in queue from people on Twitch, but they seem to be on a bit of a hiatus, so I haven't had any work to do recently. With that said, I do work for free, but obviously, as any person doing work, I hope that some of my work does contribute to myself or to others. MORE IMPORTANTLY though, if you do need music for your game and just cannot afford it, I'm absolutely down to help you out, it's always nice to contribute to the community and give people some proper music that doesn't dig into their wallet.
Anyways, thank you all for what you do on here, if I had half the experience many of you have, I would have already made my own game (specifically making a beat 'em up purely out of Metal Slug sprites/characters, like... the actual Metal Slug games, not the fighting versions of these characters that you see in MUGEN). But since I cannot code even a "Hello There" message to save my life, I'll leave that to the professionals on here. So with that said, best of luck to you all, and I shall see you around from time to time. Feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding my work or music you need created for a project you are working on.
FAIR WARNING... I don't do song covers or remixes. I only create ORIGINAL compositions/songs, so if you're looking for someone to create the 100,000th remix of the Super Mario Bros Theme or something, then you're out of luck. But otherwise, if you want some original music, I'll be glad to help.
Take care!
