Hi my name is Sonne, for the past 3 months I've been trying for the life of me to find a visual stage editor for openbor. There is openborstats, but I use it to create and edit characters, then I wanted to edit stages and found out there was no visualization for the process.

Turns out it was right in the downloads section :| all this time.

So here it is!

I use to play streets of rage 2 on the super smash pack for sega dreamcast with my friends when I was 7 years old, now that I'm 20, to relive the only nostalgia that gives me fun(and doesn't make me sad lol) I registered on this site as TheMan lol. On Moddb as Sonne2 I mainly mod Mount and Blade Warband and created the Naruto Mod!

Thank you Damon Caskey for making this site and expanding the fanbase! Now its time for me to edit away the stages >:D.
 
is this the newest version of the editor for openbor does it do chars and stages.  Also is there a read me it would be way easier then me using photoshop
 
yes it is the most up to date version, as far as I can tell it allows you to visually edit the levels, and sets, I'm not sure whether or not it edits characters though.
 
I never use it, it always messed up the the pause and waits for me.  Also be wary this is rather old and is known to crash.  I stopped using this program when it killed my mod.  OTOH it can remove script section or crash from them.  You should just be careful when using this and backup your mod. 
 
This is how I do:
I open the same stage in Obeditor and OpenBORStats at the same time, so I have a backup. I change something in Obeditor and test. If its good, I refresh the file at Stats. If not, I just save Stats version an try again.
 
Honestly, I swear by Obeditor. It has its bugs here and there, but it's just the easiest to use IMO.

I just wish I knew if the one I uploaded (1.5.9) is the latest. Gringo actively worked on it back in the Lavalit days, but uploaded his updates as forum attachments. So there could be a 2.0.0 for all I know... anyone ever try getting in touch with him?
 
There is "openbor editor", "openbor stats"  and "chronocrash modderes tools" I don't use them so I would not know but which one of these editors is the all round best ?
