OpenBORStats [Deleted]

I understand the latest OBStats release is 0.67; Why is the version on SourceForge 0.41? Is the source for 0.67 available to the public?

Did I read correctly that MatMan is rewriting OBStats in a different language to bring it into "the current millenium"? That seems like a massive task. Is it a solo project, or is there source code on GitHub (or similar collaborative coding service)?

 
Unfortunately, Matman didn't share the latest source for OpenBOR Stats on SourceForge and the repo found in Github is the same (you can google it yourself).
 
in menu "File in Use Checker" it removes music .bor files which according by OpenBOR manual are in "Required files" list and not supposed to be deleted

This checker removes them whilst manual says to be present in the pak file

Yes, the checker is not correct to delete these files, I tested with "Final Fight - Heroes v7.4" and remix.bor was trashed by "File in Use Checker" and the game lost entry menu background music. remix.bor must not be trashed because it is in the "Required files" list according OpenBOR manual

Also it removes many .gif files that are in use. Just tested with "Double Dragon 4" and the game cannot start at all, because of missing files. For example in chars afrobo a few gifs are removed but they are in use in afrobo.txt. May be openBorStats do not recognize keyword "remap" which use this gifs and decide to remove them as not used.

P.S. openBorStats.exe 41 antivirus programs alert for virus inside Bad Link Removed
 
Does anyone still have the clean version for this?  My antivirus wont even let me download it.  It blocks the download page after i try once. 
 
hi I don't mean to necro bump but i was wondering if some one could give me a clean download link for this iv tried downloading it for the past 2 hrs cant get it I dint want to bother u guys and bring this topic back up but im trying to start making my game and this is the tool I need to do it cause im tired of guseing and having my chars all over the place thank u and sorry agin
 
I don't see how it's 'riddled with bugs' I'm sorry but that's a massive overstatement.  And for the billionth time there is no virus, and even if there is it's totally safe as we've all been using it for years without issue.
 
No Beastie. The latest version DO HAVE a virus. Its a Delphi virus, maybe Matman compiler was infected. I posted about it several times...
 
Regardless it appears to be safe to use.  Just FYI, last I heard from MatMan he was taking on a new job that was very intense, being a family man also, he was unsure if he'd ever have time to return to openbor.  I've never been able to get a hold of him since.  (I hope he doesn't mind me mentioning this  )
 
I know it won't have too much use since Matman is away, but I've found a bug in OpenBORstats.
This is the key for some very frustating bugs I got on my game until I realize this.

There is a bug with the LOOP. If you use LOOP with loopstart and loop end (like LOOP 1 0 4), sometimes when you save, the loop is reverted to 0 (LOOP 0).

The virus is a false alert (or at least i presume) as it hasnt been known to affect anyones computers with anything.

Chrome literally doesn't let me get the file on the hard drive when it's done downloading...neither it asks for a warning notice, it simply says network error. I tried using avast to list the said URL from the exclude list, but it still doesn't work.

Yes, the program shows no harm and nothing dangerous as it's a false flag, but honestly... having to turn off the antivirus just to run a simple openbor tool is a bit irritating sometimes.

I'm going to compress the version I have in a .Zip file and then upload here.

Guess you're deemingly right, i'd could have asked for your files so that anyone can easily have new access to it.
 
I searched for no avail for a "non-infected" version, but couldn't find anywhere. So I had to run this program and remove the code line with the GSA removal tool.

So, now that the "virus" had been physically removed, so to speak, all we need is to wait for the big bosses 'round here to validate the upload!

I'd see if i could wait till tomorrow, i'm really tired right now...
 
No, IT INDEES HAS A VIRUS. It's a virus related with Delphi installation/compiler. So if you don't have Delphi compiler on your machine, it won't hurt you.

We already posted how to clean the installation, its up to people to act and clean it, like many people already did (like myself, for example).

But some people do prefer to have things delivered on their hands, instead of doing things. I am not on my pc, but I will upload it tomorrow.
