Parsec hosting

Hey all,  I’ve been trying for the last two nights to get some Openbor multiplayer  going via Parsec.  Has anyone successfully been able to play the game this way?  I keep running into issues getting both mine and the other player’s controllers both working.

I did have this working very briefly once, but my last few attempts have failed.  I apologize if this is the wrong sub-forum for this post.

Make sure you're using the latest version of OpenBor as it has better controller support. You being the host in Parsec have to help guide other players while setting up there key inputs, It can be really tricky at first because you being the host have to give permission for each individual key allocation for other players, I'd also recommend having a separate OpenBor  EXE launcher for each individual game rather than a single EXE multiple pak set up.

Thanks danno.  I downloaded the latest version off github.  Will try again once my brother gets out of work.

If anyone wants to add me on parsec to try and play, mfaria9046#3406852

Just to update, me and my brother had this working perfectly after a few changes.  We had been dealing with latency issues too:

1. Set rendering to OpenGL in Parsec
2. Updated config file for host to be at 30 FPS
3. On his machine, he ended up having to unplug his controller and plug it into a different USB slot.  Once he did that the game recognized his controller as P2 instead of P1

So I guess USB slots are numbered and OpenBOR uses that to determine controls?  Would love to know more about that
