OK, guys. I'm going back by resuming the OpenBOR video tutorials, but first, I need you guys to vote for your preference of learning on the video tutorials I will make. Last time, we had a discussion regarding the video tutorials in Lavalit till it got shut down. Now, this must be the time for choosing your choice. I've made some videos after Damon Caskey opened Chrono Crash. Also, in Atlas (Cavern of Creativity), esn23 requested me to make a tutorial of OpenBORStats and it was my very first requested video to make. After making my first, I did some of them. This time I'm going to continue.

I'm allowing anyone in this community to post any tutorial request what they like to learn or whatever. I have a lot of tutorials I plan to make but request is allowable. :) I got some requests from some members in here and Atlas. (Even on YouTube too) Anyone who probably likes to be involved in helping me make video tutorials for the OpenBOR communities is welcome to do so. I will be fine doing them alone if no one participates :) but I get busy with modding. :P

The goal for this, as we know, is to make them as video resources of OpenBOR for anyone who is interested in creating OpenBOR games.

If there's anything I'm missing or I have any mistake regarding this, please let me know.

EDIT: What I mean "audio" is the recording voice. I think I wasn't clear to mention.

EDIT2:

List of requested tutorials:
- How to set weapons
- How to do scripted throws/slams
- How to make a Gradius style shooting type
- How to make a platformer (planned, but along with walls and holes in video)
- How to specialize commands
- How to make a stage (planned)
- How to make projectiles
- How to do basic to scripting
- How to do OpenborStats
- Setting branches for alternate levels and endings
- How to import Mugen characters with OpenborStats
- Setting damaging terrains (wiretraps, spike floors, lava floors, landmines, etc.)

Just to let you guys know that I'm thinking of closing this poll probably on either Friday or Saturday. I'm not sure when to close but if I feel like it, I will. Take your time to vote for your preference. OK. I think I left the voting option of the poll for people to change vote if they like after I created it. If anyone likes to change, they can. (Can't remember if I left it there or I made the poll have people only vote once and that's it.) If anyone want me to extend the deadline, let me know a head of time.

Nice idea.
Something about grapple and custom throws would be good.
How to use weapons effectively.

Alright. It looks like the decision has been made due to the highest number of votes from the poll above. So that means I will be making videos using both audio and caption along with the visual for learning. I'm going to say thank you for voting your choice of tutorials. I am about to lock the poll, but not the topic, so that anyone is allowed to post requests here. Also, I will be changing this topic name to "Plans vs Requests for Tutorials" here. (What do you guys think?) What I mean with "Plans" is that I have my own plans for making video tutorials especially the stage making which I will do first because it's basic. I'd like to focus on basic stuff first. "Requests," anyone posting requests, I think I will list them in the first post from past and present. I know some people who requested me to make like unleashing projectiles, specializing commands, making a Gradius style type, basic to OpenBOR scripting, and so on. There will be lots of tutorials to do and I'm aiming for all of them.

Ned, you are on the right track to understand this. :) Yes, you did ask me about making a tutorial on scripted slams and throws for your wrestling mod project. Even with weapons (which I can't remember if you mentioned it or not, the last time). I am aiming for that. However, I am going to focus on the basics first especially making stages.

Great!
I'm able to create basic slams, but to see it visually can be a good way to understand it even better.
And it will encourage future moders to add better features in their mods without thinking it's too complicated.

About weapons.
It can be good to see how the different types of weapon can work.
-Infinite weapons
-weapon with limited ammo (guns)
-weapons with limited hit (plank, baseball bat)
-enemy can take them or not?
The idea is to give to people the feeling that adding a weapon system in their mod won't be so complicated, but really funny to use.

weapon system will be my next step as soon a s I finish working on Rachel's basic gamplay.

BTW : my mod is no more a wrestling mod, but some characters will use several throws and "unusual" system for an Openbor game.

Setting up branches, for alternate levels and endings would be nice.
