Sprites with a pallete problem (Sor 2x)

Hello.

Im swapping some sprites of Sor 2x with Sor remake ones.

The beach animation of stage 6 has 15 sprites and the first sprite looks as it should, but on the rest the sand and the little part of the sea i modified look with strange colors.

I had to modify the sprites because the SORR sprites are 4:3 and Sor 2x has them in a wide format.

This problem can be fixed with this tutorial?

This is a link with the 15 sprites (its unfinished as you can see XD,  but im trying to learn some things about how to add stages, layers, etc.)

Please help me with this. Because i tried with the tutorial but perhaps i did something wrong (if this tutorial is the answer to fix this)

Hi pepodmc, your beach animation must share the same palette. You can use PalApply or Fighter Factory for that.
If you can fix this, I'll do this for you.

Thanks for the offer!  :) , but if you can make a quick tutorial of what i must do (steps) would be great.
So if i have this problem with other sprites again, i will now what to do.

Which is better/easier, fighter factory or palapply?

Cant figure Fighter studio

I mean, i generate a color pallete from an image (save an ".act" extension file ) and then, i apply it to one of the other images.

But when i do that, the image looks all black...

Hi pepodmc
Maybe you can have some trouble changing the sprites because I ripped all them one-by-one from the original games, and after that I rebuilt all images to have a true widescreen appearance. There's no resized images in the game, and some levels have the extension changed, which may not fit to SOR Remake correctly.

For now I'm focused on SOR1 stages but there's a possibility of replace them all with SORR sprites in future updates, if some things change...

I tried to adapt the sorr sprites to the size and extension of Sor 2x stages, and all of them look ok, only this one is more difficult because of the animation of the water.

At the same time, i wanted to learn how openbor works with stages (add stages, layers, etc) so i use this as practise.

i dont know nearly anything of how openbor works, so, i have to start with something  :)

Here are your beach sprites:

You can use PalApply 1.0 to convert in .gif all your sprites with the same palette:

Thanks a lot man! It worked  ;D ;D

I extracted the palette with photoshop and apply it to all the sprites with palapply in batch mode  :)
