In Progress Fatal Fury - Legend of the Hungry Wolf

The project is currently under development.
In the spirit of the OG Fatal Fury, Im trying to include a lot of the elements it had, like bonus stages.

Which version do you guys think looks better? Im partial to the first one myself.

The second one. Definately ^^
That said, adding Andy et Ryo like this isn't a good choice since they are overpixellized. But the FF bonus stages is a good idea!

Can't wait to see some more content!

Im trying to add more atmosphere to the stage itself, to make it look like you in an actual arcade.
Those were the best ones I could find. Unless I try and draw it from scratch, for now, for me, it serves its purpose

Excellent :)

Second for me too :)

I don't want to post to much of the game and ruin anything that may come, but I finished and started on some new stages. Please give me your thoughts.
Please ignore the random sprite shifts and overpowered attacks in Terry, I'm using the older version of him that was based on one of my older characters. This video is just to show off the stages.
Also, excuse the lack of hit sounds and such for now.

Nice to see some progress!
I like the fact we can recognize some iconic places!

I don't know what to say about it, since I don't know yet what is definitive, what is WIP.
Seeing Terry walking this way is pretty cool, for a beat em up.

Yeah, Im trying to stay true to most places, but also updating them a bit.
The only definites are the stages and enemies. I changed Terry, but I dont want to end up showing everything before the mod is released.

Thanks for the offer, but I got this. I have very specific ideas in mind and planned out already. If I get stuck I will be sure to ask.

Most of the stages looks decent except the first one. Not appealing.

Anyway, good job on the stages. I liked the executive site one, elevator one, and the one in flames.

Either way, is the story of your new game similar to the original game lore or it wil be like a kind of reboot?

Can't wait to see the complete game!

First stage isnt completed actually, there is a lot to still do in it, people need to be added, and some extra things in the background

So... hi again. It's been a while. Had to take a break to finish a university honors, and then got side tracked with other things.
I still worked on the game here and there, I am now trying to find the time to start working a bit more on it. In the past few days I added a new stage and started adding in a new playable character, Andy Bogard. Here is a very short video of him in the new stage, and as always, excuse the lack of hit sounds and such, that's lower on my list of things to complete.

Congrats on getting your honors, life is about getting side tracked but it's good to see people return to their projects on this site.
Arcades are almost a thing of the past like you mentioned but atleast we can make use of the sprites here.
I like the intro, I feel like Real bout 2 sprites would go well with it, with that said what you shown looks on point. Kof sprites cover every character in the Fatal fury series, Mr. Big and the younger version of Geese etc.
That stage look like the perfect rundown training area.
Looking at Andy's last attack. If you don't mind my suggestion.
Consider moving the sprites of attack4 abit forward. In the video, his last attack has his back foot moving behind him. By Aligning the back foot with the same foot used in the idle sprite. It will create step in motion that go with throwing a right hand.
