More smooth animations, this time with the enemies

You're incredible,
Even if I'm not the biggest fan of Final Vendetta's characters design and body proportions etc.
-> I'm pretty sure you would make an impressive SNK/KOF styled SOR (5?)
Your pixel art is impressive.

EDIT : these smooth animations make these enemies looks like you want to play them as characters.

Wait, why did you mention Final Vendetta?

@Kratus, this would be good to integrate into SORX IMO. Really add an extra something I think.

DC
Indeed it would be cool. But this would bring a problem: consistency.
If one enemy has that much frames for walking, all the others should have to. And if enemies do have it, players too... as would be weird to have one enemy with 4 walking frames while other has 12, for example.

I think Adding these would make everything else look worse. But but imo enemies should have like at least 8 walk frames

Exactly what I thought.
Actually domething between that and the source one would be ok.

When you looks closely, enmeies are slightly "poorly" animated in sor games.
Givin them just as much as playable characters frames would make them ok.
But yes, it would have tto be done for every enemy...

I wonder how "Soozie" (forgot her name) would walk with extra frames...

Come on guys, I didn't literally mean exactly as is where is. :)

Also, about fighting animation vs. walking, that's already very much a thing and nobody bats an eye. Virtually all Capcom golden age beat em ups have 12+ walking frames for players but extremely spartan everything else. Look at Final Fight vs. Double Dragon, and you'll notice it's a massive regression in animation quality, but people still go on about how good it looks to this day.

Streets of Rage is far better animated in general. Upgrading PC and enemy sprites to 12 frame walks would integrate just fine IMO, and I bet @Doa687 would be willing to round out the rest of the cast.

Adding a few more walking frames really would be a nice touch.
But I also agree with @O Ilusionista about the consistency, we would need to do an uniform work for all characters.
At least I can make some tests after the main content is done, we could add as an extra.

Amazing work. Excuse me my friend. Can I use these animations for a game I'm creating. They will fit perfectly into the script and animations. Can you send me a link that works so I can download them? This will help me a lot for the antagonists of the game. Can i work whit you in the future for my project. You are amazing. I can send you sprites i created by mi own. Pls contact me if you interested/

Nobody asked for this, but I still wanted to pose a "what if?" question.
Well, then there is a small question that sounds something like this:

"What if we just try to translate the regular Axel SoR 2 into the style of Axel BK 3?"

Accordingly, this is how this picture was created today.

I just don't know, I'm not the only one who thinks that BK 3 Axel could have looked better?

And before that I tried to experiment with the SOR 1 stand,
but the result, as for me, was not very good, let's say (which is why it was sent in a half-disassembled state).

Then I somehow came across a game for Java mobiles called "Fatal Fist",
I was quite impressed to the point that I had an idea that sounds something like this:

"I wonder how it will look if it is scaled up to the size of SOR 2"

Accordingly, this is how Daniel Vito's concept for the size of SOR 2 appeared.

And then for my birthday yesterday I drew a character who could be a partner.
And his name is John Hunter

I think "Fatal Fist" has a good chance of being a great remake

Axel's SOR3 stance was probably an improvement over SOR2 - but the artwork, just yuck. Someone at Sega had really, REALLY fallen in love with dithering right around that time. The cleaner look of SOR2 is so much better IMO.

I definitely agree about the art style of SoR3. It looks terrible. It feels like they tried to do way too much to make it look more detailed, but it doesn't work in that SoR style. SoR2 looked the best of all three games. I don't agree about his stance, though. His pose looks more like a lazy boxer's pose, and he animates like he's drunk. IMO, his SoR1 pose is his best one. It looks far more like a real fighter's pose.
