As of 2025-03-12, I have suspended support for logging in through Facebook accounts. Other external parties are still supported, and I will likely add more in the future. As we are all aware, Facebook has LONG abandoned any reasonable level of usability, and this is true on the back end as well. Supporting its app for federated logins is an ever increasingly byzantine headache that just isn't worth the time any more. So far as I can tell, noone other than the occasional lurker used it anyway.
Also, to head off any scrutiny and potential issues of underage posters, Date of Birth is now a required field for sign ups and the forum has a minimum age of 13+.
