The trailer does not take itself seriously, it makes fun of itself. That's why it's good, lol

Oh boy that was terrible! kids these days will never know the struggle. I remember text message limits and not being able to even call outside of the state let alone the country LOL.Damon Caskey said:I'd think it would be funny if he took US back to the 90's... YEAH!

I'll just buy it on E-bay ... SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEHISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS "Hey, get off the internet, I need to use the phone!"
Ahh yes, and the cell phones. Not the phones themselves, they weren't so bad. But the bills... dang the bills.... Remember when it was like 3USD a minute to talk?
No Denied! (and I know you weren't talking to me, but still, have me laughing because of the picture I found on twitterDintheAbary said:my apologies.

Remember when Razor phones were all the hype? You were the hot isht if you had one of those LOL. I still til this day never understood how beeper/pagers worked LOLDamon Caskey said:DintheAbary said:
I think my favorite part of that was how everybody carried three or four devices. You had your business phone, your personal phone, a pager, and if you were fancy a PDA. All on your belt. Looked like a bunch of rookie cops running around.
The REALLY fancy guys had those Motorola phones with the built in walkie-talkie so you could jabber with someone else who had one and not pay cell cost for it. Sigh...
I didn't say any fanbase was moronic, I said people who buy the same game over and over again are moronic, can't seem to stop making assumptions and jumping to conclusionsDintheAbary said:Your "2 cents" includes calling a whole section of the fanbase moronic based on your emotional views and misunderstanding of how the industry works but I'm dismissive? Again, cool story.
Again with the assumptions, Funny how you try to put talking with feeling and emotion about things in a bad light, thats what community is about, how the community feels is the most important thing, you're not a realist you just support the side of companies over the community that much is clear, the reality of the situation is that its not ok how these companies are acting, I never said people can do what ever they want (another assumption) but people do have the right to make art their own, You are also not understanding the difference between peoples work and something that belongs to a company, I know from personal conversations with artists that have worked on street fighter that they have no problem with what people do with there work but companies do, this is why kojima had so many problems with konami, company policies and practises are very much different from peoples work which I ASSUMED you knew the differenceDintheAbary said:Again emotional, how the community feels and the reality of the situation are two different things. No I didn't say it was "okay" but I'm a realist. I don't sit with my head in the clouds, again it's THEIR IP. When you have an IP of your own and an understanding of how rights to said IP work you stop with this idealism that people can do whatever the hell they want with other people's work.
small minority? millions of people is a small minority now?without emulation you yourself wouldn't be here in this community, again you don't know what your talking about, you seem to know exactly who these ports are aimed at, do you work for capcom or something? would make sense since you are defending them so much, or are you just assuming again?DintheAbary said:Relevant to a small but vocal minority, not the majority that these ports you're going on about would actually be reaching out to. You should probably pay attention before telling someone off, again dismissive lol.
funny how you say street fighter 4 is street fighter 2.5 yet street fighter 3 as far as innovation goes is more like street fighter 2.5. as far as platinum's games working with capcom I can say the same, games like godhand, okamo and viewtiful joe are hardly breathtakingly innovative are they? not like metal gear solid on the ps1DintheAbary said:Street Fighter 3, innovative take on the SF series loved by many nowadays and even said to be the PINNACLE of 2d fighters..... FAILED, failed so damn bad Capcom put their most beloved fighting franchise in a state of dormancy for over half a decade.
Platinum Games, makes awesome action games like Bayonetta, Vanquish, Metal Gear Revengeance, previously made amazing games for Capcom like godhand, viewtiful Joe, okamo etc. Barely staying afloat and can't even break even on their games. Bayo 3 happening is a miracle considering that despite how great the series is it BOMBED in comparison.
I could go on for days how innovation isn't being rewarded in the industry but if you really think the opposite I can't really help you there lol.
again with the assumptions, never said people who buy ports are moronic but nice try i see what you did thereDintheAbary said:Says the guy who calls a supportive fanbase moronic for buying ports. Maybe you shouldn't start with an assumption if you don't want assumptions made about you, maybe?
capcoms barley keeping it together or is that another thing thats totally flown over your incredibly logical head?DintheAbary said:Aaaaaaand what's been more successful for Capcom? Rehashing SF2 a million times to the point of even making SF4 a SF2 clone or being innovative with various FAILED IPs?
What I'm talking about applies to successful companies like nintendo with mario and innovation, indie games falls into that bracket too though but as i've mentioned previously, success in the long run and Nintendo has been around for awhile since the 1800s if im not mistaken, i'll have a look at fight'n rage later tonight, thanks for the recommendation,DintheAbary said:What you're going on about applies to smaller companies and let's be real even then you're partially wrong because some of the most amazing and innovative indie games are hardly even successful because they aren't based on a pre existing IP. Take Fight'n Rage for example, heard of it? Look it up if you haven't it's an amazing beat em up. Meanwhile the Take Over a clear Streets of Rage clone gets a ton of hype, not taking away from that project it's still a great beat em up but it's whole relevancy was based on it being the "true Streets of Rage 4" in the eyes of many.
so you mean YOU took it personal? because not only do you keep putting words in my mouth but you keep making assumptions and jumping to conclusions tooDintheAbary said:You made it personal when you called a group of fans moronic for not sharing your view, tough guy. Manners begets manners and I only said that because of your smug comment nothing personal about it.
he reconize
you almost made sense here, almost, if its not me then its not me, people like me is an assumption again you know nothing about me, thats like me saying people like you when referring to idiots but then saying (not you though) you sound more in your feeling than my ex girlfriend at this point, sorry I mean people like my ex girlfriend which you come across no where near like at all and no for the record you still don't know what you're talking about, I'm struggling to understand what you're talking about at this point.DintheAbary said:And here you go contradicting yourself. You do realize if they did that with AvP people much like yourself (no not you before you get all in your feelings again) will STILL crap on it and call Capcom lazy right? Still go on about emulation or whatever like it's the most optimal way of playing. You also realize this very same Collection you're complaining about while it doesn't add some new mode or whatever does makes it easier to play for many who want to play these things on console and DOES add a few bells and whistles right? Hell I can name a number of ports that do exactly what you're asking but again because "hurr hurr emulation" these things are ignored by the ones complaining.
.... And I don't know what I'm talking about? Okay.
must be really confusing being you, again see previous posts,DintheAbary said:Your constant need to take things personal and out of context is astonishing. I said people like yourself, meaning people with similar complaints. Again you called a whole group moronic so... Tea kettle, black or whatever. Seriously it's not that deep dude lol.
Be honest you find other peoples opinions hard to process don't you mister logicDintheAbary said:And this tells me what I need to know about your opinion.
this tells me everything I need to know about your opinion, it's crap like capcom business policesDintheAbary said:It runs you 300 bucks if you don't want to grind to unlock the items in said game. That's not crappy business practice to give players the option to spend money to unlock something they'd otherwise have to play to unlock. At that point it's their own impatience not the practice itself.
autistic people don't like change, fans can or cannot embrace change all depends on taste and how the change is implemented by companies or are you speaking for the entire world of fans now? (you see I can put words in your mouth too)DintheAbary said:Creativity is also being disregarded because fans don't like change, can't really blame the company for that.
nobody's crying here but again need I repeat myself about assumptions, I'm simply stating I don't like capcoms crappy business polices and people like you (but not you, before you take it personal) who keep supporting being sold the same game over and over again, solution is stop supporting crappy business and stop defending them, stop being people like you (but not you)DintheAbary said:And what would be the solution, Crying about ports? LOL.
You almost had a point here but the very fact that you think buying the same games over and over again signals to a company they are doing good is why people like you (but not you) are ruining creating new IP's because as you mentioned earlier capcoms biggest cash cow is rehashes and ports of SF 2 how does that signal to them to do better? and now look at themDintheAbary said:As I said vote with your wallet. When Capcom releases battle circuit for the first time ever on console BUY THAT SHIT, so that they know we give a damn about these other games. When new IPs arise buy them, support the better decisions being made instead of sitting on your high horse and complaining about things that aren't going to change.
You are blinded but it's not by emotional rage, hahaha I do see it as a money grab but hey I guess thats where we differDintheAbary said:Btw to give you some context, I didn't buy a single version of SF4 until it was free on XBL neither have I touched a single SF2 port since the anniversary collection on the original Xbox (which included SF3 so you know why I bought it lol) but you know what I did buy? Final Fight double impact which gave us an arcade perfect port with remade soundtrack, online and bells and whistles, Street Fighter 3 Online edition which did the same thing, Dungeons and Dragons collection etc because I support good decision making and I'm not so blinded by emotional rage that I think every port is a crappy money grab.
people who buy the same game over and over again would entail people who buy ports buddy. no assumptions made here but you've already managed to put your foot in your mouth in the same sentence so I'll leave that be.danno said:I didn't say any fanbase was moronic, I said people who buy the same game over and over again are moronic, can't seem to stop making assumptions and jumping to conclusions
You say it's an assumption and then confirm what I said. :Again with the assumptions, Funny how you try to put talking with feeling and emotion about things in a bad light, thats what community is about, how the community feels is the most important thing, you're not a realist you just support the side of companies over the community that much is clear, the reality of the situation is that its not ok how these companies are acting, I never said people can do what ever they want (another assumption) but people do have the right to make art their own, You are also not understanding the difference between peoples work and something that belongs to a company, I know from personal conversations with artists that have worked on street fighter that they have no problem with what people do with there work but companies do, this is why kojima had so many problems with konami, company policies and practises are very much different from peoples work which I ASSUMED you knew the difference

again with the assumptions, never said people who buy ports are moronic but nice try i see what you did therestarting to sound real stupid man, maybe you should use terms like irony correctly or understand what people are talking about and how they feel about a subject before engaging, your conclusion jumping is bizarre man, I'm guessing you do it alot
well you didn't really answer my question but I guess I'll bite. rather they're "keeping it together" right now atm is irrelevant to what I said, in their track record they've seen more success in re-releases and rehashes (see SF4) than any time they've innovated which is my point. I'd point to call of duty among other crappy things like madden but I don't want to soil the thread with that crap LOLcapcoms barley keeping it together or is that another thing thats totally flown over your incredibly logical head?
nintedo... innovative..... LMAO wut? you call rehashing 2d mario and playing it safe with practically all their franchises innovative? Bro... please PLEASE LOL! Nintendo is the pinnacle of playing it safe and hardly changing formula and you just proved my point! how long have they been around? repeat it for the whole class. What I'm talking about applies to successful companies like nintendo with mario and innovation, indie games falls into that bracket too though but as i've mentioned previously, success in the long run and Nintendo has been around for awhile since the 1800s if im not mistaken, i'll have a look at fight'n rage later tonight, thanks for the recommendation,
so you mean YOU took it personal? because not only do you keep putting words in my mouth but you keep making assumptions and jumping to conclusions too
you're starting to sound like my ex girlfriend, judging by what you've written so far theres no manners about it, just a whole load of waffle
you almost made sense here, almost, if its not me then its not me, people like me is an assumption again you know nothing about me, thats like me saying people like you when referring to idiots but then saying (not you though) you sound more in your feeling than my ex girlfriend at this point, sorry I mean people like my ex girlfriend which you come across no where near like at all and no for the record you still don't know what you're talking about, I'm struggling to understand what you're talking about at this point.

this tells me everything I need to know about your opinion, it's crap like capcom business polices![]()

and yet here we are with another contradiction, you said you're okay with shenmue getting a re-release yet you're against games like battle circuit and pretty much all the titles except final fight getting a solid port on new consoles? even though shenmue has been emulated to perfection like what you said earlier? I'd say the same to you but your logic gave me a headache honestly. You are blinded but it's not by emotional rage, hahaha I do see it as a money grab but hey I guess thats where we differ
You know what though Din I appreciate your input man, it's been a good discussion but I feel we are on opposite ends of opinion so i'll just leave it at that, I don't wanna kill the thread or upset anybody so thats the last i'll say on it, I do get where your coming from, I just think different about how I see gaming going and where I would like to see it go, I don't mind games like shenmue getting a re-release and like you I'm sick of seeing sf 2 over and over again, I guess I'm just tryna reach common ground with you to finish off because I'm a firm believer that we actually have more in common than not, some of the shit you said was pretty funny and actually made laugh so I tip my hat to you, Gonna check out that game you recommenced and get my head down for the night. peace
