Classic VS : (Discussion)

Adding Tung's climax move from KOF 14. The move is coded so I know it will take a total of 17 sprites to complete & so far I've completed about 12 of them. Since it's taking me longer than planned to finish, I decided it would be good idea to show a few sprites & let people know the status of the character.

That’s pretty amazing that you can convert those model shots into a sprite set, and then manage to make it work with extant sprites.

I was a little nervous displaying single sprites. Gives people time to examine them & see the flaws lol. In motion they look pretty good. :D
 
Final preview of Tung. He will be released on 7/17/2020. Finished sprites for the climax hyper & also added a variety of combo's that he may preform after transforming into FF1 big man. I think there are around 12 different combos. The Senpuu Gouken hyper can be preformed in the air now, but has a different ending than the standing one.

 
I like how lightning strikes his body to charge up the electric Dynamite Tackle! I suggest an air hyper based on the Wheel Kick, perhaps with the DDT as an ender. Also a rush tackle auto combo ending with a tornado uppercut.
 
That is one epic preview of Ray McDougall Electro, would it be awesome if you gave him some wrestling moves by editing some of the slams performed by the Ring of Destruction characters?
 
Ray is almost finished. I still need to add more FX to some moves so they look more complete & polished. Some new hypers have been added since last video. One is a throw that sends the opponent high into the sky & has a variety of attacks once up there. The other new hyper is an air barrage of kicks which finishes with the opponent being kicked hard to the ground & then bounces high for more combo potential. Unfortunately the AI didn't preform some of his new stuff in this preview. Looking to release Ray sometime in the next two weeks.

I really like his urban cityscape hyper, it’s so dynamic. And I appreciate that you threw in the kick hyper idea.

I'm curious to know who can be next in your list !
I would love to see your try on Chun Li or Cammy !
 
nedflandeurse Lot of request for more Street Fighter characters, so one of them will be next. Between Chun Li & Cammy I would prefer to make Chun Li. When deciding which character to make It's all about if I can make cool new moves for them or not. If ideas don't easily come to me about a character, then I tend to avoid them. For example I really like Balrog & would love to make him, but it's harder to come up with new moves for a boxer. For Dhalsim though, I could easily think of fun new stuff to add to him.

Oh , yes, I got it! Yes, Balrog cannot inspire many interesting new moves.

So, if you go for Chun Li, I think many customs can be done by editing the existing sprites etc.
Also she can borrow moves from other characters like Jam Kuradoberi, Ling Xiaoyu...

If you go for Fighter History characters, Liu Yung Mie would be a good character with variety of sprites.
Particularly if you consider using Zantong's custom sprites inspired by Kim Kaphwan moves...

Anyway, I still like your choice of characters.
I can't wait to see what else will be created !
 
I also feel like Kurara (Power Instinct) would be awesome in your style. For Balrog, I could see him uppercutting the foe into the air and using them as a punching bag sorta like Abigail from SFV. Or maybe he could punch the ground to make an energy wave come out like Terry Bogard. I agree that Yungmie would be awesome too.
