I like how you used the chain for the "Scorpoin" Foot Ninja, and the others look realy great to, some hand positions need maybe a little adjustment here and there, but thats something you maybe don't even see if they are animated.
 
yeah they are just rough tests.  Once I decide which weapons to use I'll do them better, make new rotations for them etc.

Don't get my wrong, I don't want to criticize so in this early development stages or something like that. :D

hehehe, nice! Scorpion' spear can be tricky to code if you wan to code it right (you need to store the animpos to use it to know where to place the enemy after the hit if you have a pause, so the animation is different based on its distance, etc).

Or, if you don't want to be so specific (and won't have a pause on the hit), look at our dropbox in BlackCat's code. Her Avenger Power uses that mechanic.
 
He Guys I want to show you something.

When I searched for usable sprites in Sengoku 3, I played the Game to the end for Fun and them something happend...

I fought this Guy..

Who reminded me of the Shogun from the Nes version of the Arcade game.

Then I searched for official art.

And then I created this thing here. :o

I know it is not perfect and would still need more work removing more of the unnecessary parts etc
But what do you guys think, is this something you could use for your Games, or do you already have enough Bosses?

I think it could be a great boss.

I can give you the Sprites I have ripped so far if you want them, They are not and complete because I would not need all of them for the Shogun, and I think I messed up the Idle sprites, but It still would spare you some time.^^

Btw, I know I am the only person who likes her, but any chance to see Venus De Milo on this game?

Yeah dude supaman is making her, he offered to do it, so I'll add her as a bonus char ;)
I don't really like her but I said I'd add her if someone wanted to make her.  You can help code her if you want :)

@LB - that is cool, I hadn't played it that far to see this guy (once upon a time maybe).  I can definitely use him and anything else you can rip from that game. I want to make some game modes in ancient japan and the battle nexus (or something), I'm also making another mod that can use ancient chinese/martial arts style sprites.

@esn23 - I'll check it out cheers, I needed him.  I'd just prefer sprites without so much motion blurs, but I like him.

Here is "EVIL" the Final Boss of Sengoku 3.

What is in:
1. First 2 Rows are the sprites for his Intro animation, the first 4 Frames would need some Edits because they were Inconplete in the game.

2. In the Third Row is his walking forward sprites.

3. Two sprites one of his super and one of his Special Move

4. His sword attack sprites, parts of the last one are missing.

5. Get Hit

6. His Stance

7. His Lose animation

Thats Missing:
His walking backward sprites, there were hard to Rip because this freaking boss ALWAYS stopped to walk backward if I attempted to rip them.  >:(

His Special move: The Skulls on his armor become alive and shoot stuff at you.
His First Super Move where he summons Skulls that fly around
His Second Super Move with a Different Aura where he heals himself
His Blocking animation

And Finaly his Death animations, that can only be seen in the ending, he begins to melt into Purble goo, and the Protagonist makes some Ninja stuff to let him disapear in smoke.

Sorry that I don't have all sprites of him and that some are incomplete, because I had a different idea for using his sprites, so I would not need all of them :-\

Another Edit:
I will try to rip the missing sprites of Evil, beginning with his Death animation because it is the easiest to get, then I will try to get the other Samurai and Ninja enemy sprites for you guys, but I will need some time because I don't have any special Debug options I could use, and have to rip them the old way.^^

Can probably start at the weekend.
 
Since the stupid Boss gives me a hard time ripping his sprites, I decided to rip the other stuff that could be usefull.

First the Basic Feudal Warrior (Sword)


1. Stance
2. Get Hit
3. Strong Get Hit, Falling, Spinning
4. Landing, lying on the ground, bouncing of the ground
5. Standing Up
6. getting grabbed
7. Walking forward & backward
8. Preparing for run, Running
9. Light Attack
10. Heavy Attack

The Problem with this Enemy is that he Turns into a Skelleton for some frames, because of that you will have to edit the flesh to his attack frames.

If this is not such a Big Problem for you I can also begin to rip the Naginata version of this Warrior, the Game has also 3 other Feudal enemys who not turn into Skelletons, a Female Ninja, Some old Ninja Guy, and another warrior who only uses Dashing/ramming to attack.

Just need to know if you need them or already have them.

I had other plans for these sprites besides TMNT so anything you can rip is good. For other mod I can just use them as they are, I need undead/demon type enemies like this.  But it's not important - so don't feel pressured to have to do it just for my sake.

BTW you should leave more space between sprites on the sheet, so it's easier to cut them up.  ;)

Not much progress to report on my end.  Had to take a break from sprites and modding, I have a really bad desk and chair, and the chair sits lower than the desk.  Sitting here for long periods is giving me issues with my wrists, arm and shoulder from constantly leaning.  The mod is a bit of a mess but I've at least started coding new foot soldiers, it's good to see them in game finally.
 
glad to hear this is still alive and kicking its been odd not seeing you guys posting much but yeah I've had to take breaks because of stiffness in my arm and elbow so I hear you beastie

I will try to get the missing sprites later, there are some in between Skelleton sprites and alternate get hit I left out because I belived you only need the "Normal" looking stuff, there are also some Intro sprites like that.

In the meantime I ripped the Civilian and Object sprites from the China level for you, there are more Civilian sprites in the other levels, if I get all of them I can probably separate the Civilians from each ohter, they could be used for a Stage intro or a cutscene.

Btw. Is there now enough space between sprites on the sheet?

The Missing death animation frames from the Feudal Warrior Ghost, the last 7 Frames could also be used for a interactive stage object. ;D
 
Doublepost of DOOM ö_Ö

First some mor Objects and the rest of the Civilian NPCs.


So I ripped a lot of sprites and createt another "Sheet", I know I'm not good at creating sheets so if someone wants to improve it, feel free to do it. ;D

This time I got all the Missing Frames except for the Burning and the Shock effects, I will rip them later if you need them but right now anymore ripping would make me go Insane.

EDIT:



1. First Intro*
He He emerges from the ground, interesting on this Animation is, that one frame will be normal, the next one will sink back into the ground a bit, and the frame after that he will be normal again and so on.

2. Second Intro, just appearing out of nothing.

3. Third intro and Jump attack.

4. First part of the Stance
Repeat the Animation 2x before you start the second part of his Stance

5. Second part of the Stance*

6. Walking forward/backward

7. Change pose before running and running

8. Jumping

9. Get hit by a weak attack

10. Get hit by a Strong/Weapon attack
I separated the losing energy/soul effect if you want to add a transparency effect to it.

11. Tossed, falling down, Spinning

12. Landing, lying on the ground, bouncing of the ground

13. Standing Up

14. Getting grabbed

15. Death animation
Use the full animation if the Final hit was a Strong attack, if not skip the first 8 frames, I also separated the losing energy/soul effect for this animation.

16. Weak Attack

17. Strong Attack*

18. Repel
If the strong attacks of you and the enemy clash at the moment he reaches the frame in the Red box, both attacks will be cancelt/repelt and the enemy will shake to the left and to the right a moment in the first frame before he recovers.

19. Burning Effect

20. Shock Effect
The last 2 Sprites in the Green Boxes are edits without the additional lightning Effect.

21. Default Pal, Pal for the stronger version, Default Naginata Pal, Strong Nagina Pal

*Play the frames in the Greenboxes realy fast for a flickering effect.

I hope you can work with that and that this time is enough space between the sprites.

I will take a little break from rippimg now and will start to rip the Naginata version of this ghost when I feel a little better.

Btw. Do you guys have any news about your project? ;D
