Hardcoded blood mode for mame arcade classic

He's playing on the Playstation Classic in the video but it can be done on anything that runs Mame and thanks to him I discovered Open Bor. I thought I would share this as Kyland (aka KMFDManac has discovered a little hardcoded gem that allows you to increase the violence level while playing some classic arcade titles. Blood Mode.

He is a nice guy - we worked with me to make my game compatible with the Mini consoles (Mega, Snes, etc).

I couldn't agree more...he's great...will help anyone if he can. He has done so much to open up the world of emulation to people. I write him all the time for helps running arcade cores lol. He is a very busy guy but somehow finds time to write all these arcade cores and still answer as many questions as he can. He amazes me Sega Saturn and Dreamcast games having been running on the Playstation Classic for a while but you never could get games to play at the full frame rate. But now he just released a new turbo mode core which allows you to add more virtual memory an amazingly now Saturn and Dreamcast games have never ran better. It's almost like it was planned because it's the little black chip (below to the far left) that makes it all possible. Manac is a credit to the emulation world and preserving those retro arcade and console titles that really sparked video game world.  Being able to play most Open Bor titles is one of the coolest things about it....there's a whole community out there, many just now discovering the world of Open Bor I almost have to wonder in the case of some of the mini classics if the designers knew how easy it would be to alter the chip so easily...in fact it's tought to believe that is wasn't intentional lol ...they just left the door open for the thing to be hacked which is true of most of the mini classics. Especially in the case of the PS1 I thought who puts in an entire gig of memory just to play some ps1 games? lol.
