In Progress Night Stalkers by danno

The project is currently under development.
@Whackadoo When it come to brutal sound effects, What you think of UMK3?...
The soundwork in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is brutal indeed. But does it fit a beat'em up, though?

They are lots of Mortal Kombat 3 fans, and these sound effects are wired into their brains. 😆
They will notice immediately and this might hinder their enjoyment. I mean:
They might think of MK3 while they actually should think of Night Slashers/Night Stalkers. At least, that's how I feel.

About the bone-shattering sound effect, I remember the one from Golden Axe the Revenge of Death Adder. It's slightly better, I think.

YES!
I could make it work, don't give me ideas, fit for a beat em up. Don't make my life any harder...I
I have 3 CAP games and 2 Snk games to make and this is just for fun.

I'm one of em.

I'm sure the game will sound on point when completed.

Haha! I like the spirit. 😀
By the way I'm following your World Warrior project with great interest.
Like I said about the MK3 sounds this was just my gut feeling.
Nothing is sure until you try, game design is full of surprises. *wink*

3 players is growing on me and I've decided to keep it, final part of how I'm going to piece this all together is redoing how enemies spawn.

Looks great to me
1:44 Only this wereworlf green hair a bit too contrasted with the whole game colors. (It screams a bit too loud custom palette)
So glad to see more progress!!

werewolf and Jason/Mark and a few others I still haven't created in-game palettes for so their smart palette is in-game for now, I really need to finish the palettes but first I'm working on the new gore because the new gore colour is dependent on the characters spawn palette, so purple zombies have purple blood, green zombies have green blood etc, the blood and gore are separate entities that spawn so I have to match then all with the parent palette it's a painstaking process that is almost complete, I've got about 5 more characters to do.

The problem is they sound too dry, I need wet gooey, mushey sounds, I've been learning how to make sound fx and i'm actually looking forward to when that time comes for Night Stalkers, I want it to sound absolutely disgusting :ROFLMAO:

There's so many things I want to do but I need to finish the palettes first, then more new mechanics and then finally finish the new playable characters and it should be done if depression/burn out doesn't get the better of me I should have something tangible before the year is finished.

Makes sense!

Take the time you need. If it's not the definitive color it's ok.
I was kind of surprised because you really have this skill to give these characters a fresh look.

And Color separation/smart palette can be hard to do in some characters...

Good luck.
I can't wait to see more.

Once again, Openbor (and amateur) scene completely "destroys" the "official" games remakes/reboot/sequels... ^^

Amzaing work, danno! I love the look of the player lifebar design. The lifebar instantly depletes from green to yellow, and then orange, and I notice that you use drawbox for those lines because of its depletion. You could use the HP bar script as a reference for making the bar drop smoothly. However, I don't know how to increase its bar full like that. Otherwise, it would instantly fill. You can also use this if you like.
