offsets in Gimp

ok I am creating a mod the only software I use is Gimp. How do I find both offset and bboxes for a sprite using Gimp?

I don't think Gimp is really suited for that. You should use OpenBOR Stats.

Or you can use photoshop.  I believe they have a free version of it for download too.

Guys, what he wants to do is perfectly doable with Gimp.

To find the bbox, use the rectangle select tool to select the area you want as the bbox.  Then you can get the coordinates and size from the tool options:

To find the offset, move your cursor to where you want the offset to be.  The coordinates you want will be at the bottom left of the window:
