The bringing to life of OpenBOR on Raspberry pi has really gotten my interest. I was aware of OpenBOR. I had a few burned dreamcast discs loaded with mods I enjoyed for a short while. Years later, installed it on my PC along side Mugen. It was a good time while it lasted. I even used the android OpenBOR.apk. Never didgive it the time it deserved due to convenience. To play on dreamcast, I was limited to what was on a given CD. On PC, playing multi player on computer screen with keyboard was short lived. I thought shield TV would be it, but there was always controller issues.
Now that I can play OpenBOR on RetroPie all the doors are open. I find myself following game updates, trying out nearly every game I come across, familiarizing myself with content creators, and have no controller issues whatsoever no matter what controller I throw at it. Best of all, everyone is having a blast. My 5 year old, my wife, friends, nieces & nephews ect are all joining in on the fun.
If we go visit friends/family, I bring my SNES retropie console. Dreamcast want so portable. Also, I can download & play updates on the fly. I just downloaded the latest Justice League update from my pc right to my RetroPie.
Thanks to everyone on the OpenBOR team, @oilusionista, as well as @zanac , @cyperghost & @darknior for making this available on Raspberry pi. I know as of now support is not official, but I hope one day raspberry will be supported. I image there are others with similar stories.
