Punisher : World Warzone (Discussion)

So far Blaze & Musashi do not have finishers, but that will probably change. Not all finishers will end in a bloody mess. For example Haggar will throw the opponent in a trash can on a slam finisher. In one of the updates I'll be changing who can finish who. I dislike the idea of Cody being able to finish Haggar. As of right now everyone can finish everyone.

I agree with this. Heroes shouldn’t be able to finish heroes. Plenty of generic finishers for bad guys (bullets make them bleed, knives and daggers may slit their throats or rarely decapitate, the Kikosho scorches flesh (blackening foes as they land at best and skeletonizing them at worst), Criminal Upper tears and breaks bones), but against heroes not so much. Would Villains still be able to finish other villains?
 
Could the “heroes can only finish villains lethally” thing be carried over to your other characters? Like maybe Dictator could be carved by Zangief’s medieval attack while Ryu doesn’t get sliced up?
 
Rocking the outfit he wore in the Street Fighter Alpha series. Cody is fresh out of jail & ready to put the smackdown on some street scum. Musashi now has another hyper attack added to his moveset. The next Punisher : World Warzone update will be released next Saturday 10/20/2018. Till then I hope you enjoy this preview video.

Could Cody’s Jail stripes also be a “mode” rather than just a costume? Like having Poison or Kyle as his summon  rather than Jessica? Or maybe an orange suit costume like in Streetwise?
 
Kamen Rider would fit in well, there was an SNES game you could scale up for his sprites.

I might end up putting chains on the costume. The outfit is not a smart palette, but a transformation so it's possible.

Poison will be teamed up with Andore & one of the jail suit options is orange.

Slice will eventually be added. I have plans to add a boomerang as an item to pick up. Just like the knife that's already in the game.

Here is the latest Punisher World Warzone update. Some of the highlights include Cody in his Street Fighter Alpha jail outfit. Improvements to Haggar. Haggar now has the team-up partner. First unplayable character added named Kruel Kurt. Musashi is now a playable character. Updated screenpack, but still needs more improvement. This is Mugen 1.1 only. Known Issues are turn animations don't play correctly.

One glicth I noted was that Punisher would occasionally enter a glitched mode where he was holding his flamethrower weapon but couldn't do anything. Cody also has at least one attack that makes the opponent unable to perform attacks until they are hit. Also, shouldn't Punisher's hyper rifle attack be able to finish enemies in the same way as his regular rifle attack? Not to mention his sniper attack. I also suggest maybe having a generic pool of blood for any bladed attack Punisher uses.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll get those fixed for the next update. Punisher's Rifle hyper is him blind firing from the hip so it can't pop the opponent's head for the finisher. The Sniper hyper should be able to do the finisher. If not then i'll get that fixed.
 
Previewing Haggar in his Final Fight 3 outfit. He can now pick up the knife & has a new hyper attack with a pipe. When Haggar is wielding the knife his headbutt throw is now replaced with a knife stab.

 
Thank you man. My favorite Haggar costume. & one of the main reasons that Final Fight 3 is my favorite beat em up of all time.

I liked how characters had more moves in FF3. It felt more like a cross between Final Fight & Street Fighter.

Other than the Haggar FF3 outfit I've been working on Missing Link which will be another un-playable character from the game Vendetta.
