Risk One's Neck - Tribute to old school beat em ups on KICKSTARTER!!!!

Guys and Gals!!!!!!! I just happen to have a buddy of mine send me a video of this game. It looks like a modern day beat-em-up that looks very promising. For some reason the guy didn't really do advertising for this, but y'all should take a look and spread the word! The link for the game is below (goes to the Kickstarter page)

Brief Description of about game:

"One of the most distinctive aspects of our game is that we tried not only to inherit game feel of previous games but also infused realistic impact into the fight actions.

This game is the result of our endeavor on in-depth research and analysis on the previous games and action movies.

As our development continues, we will enrich and solidify details to enhance the game juice as well as the quality of visual design.

The completed game will bring you joyful experience even for just moving the characters around."

Check it out! 8) 8)

The game looks nice, Koreans can do some great work I think.
It doesn't make me think about something classic at all. more like Urban reign feeling.
And all characters looks full of testosterone with no much  "flavor"...
Even the girl tomboy looks so generic.

As an "art guy", I feel like this game doesn't take any risk design-wise.
but the gameplay looks really nice and decent animated. :)

Yeah I definitely agree with you about the girl tomboy after going back and rewatching the video many times lol. I figure he probably wanted to keep things simple and focus on great gameplay, which I won't knock him for as I prefer gameplay first (coming from a martial arts background) to visuals. Hopefully if things work out for the best and this comes out eventually, I would love to see what he would ba able to do with updated visuals.

You being an "art guy" lol,  I definitely respect where you are coming from!
