Kindly support me on Trovo. Register for an account. If you're using mobile download the Trovo app.

Will be doing live streams doing pixel art in and Trovo conveniently records it. All recording will be used for Youtube in the future (will be edited of course) so you get the chance to see some of my art in advance. Hopefully I can upload these to Youtube this December or January next year.
Also kindly check the Sailor Stars Beyond Discord for announcements when I'll do live streams.
It's going to be a busy week for me.

Great work @rgveda99!

I've been thinking of coming back to work on OpenBOR mods again and I wouldn't mind using your sprite work as a base work.

I can offer my assistance as well to Sailor Stars Beyond as well.

If you'd like, you can reach out to me by DM to discuss things further.

This is part 1. Image is enlarge by 300 percent. Kindly click to enlarge.

Numbered the order I fixed this.

Number 1.
A. First is your choice of colors. They are too similar especially the 4th and 5th colors which are the darkest shades of brown. In this case I added another one which I took from another game called Lufia 2. Added a 6th color to your pallete then added this color around the edges (around her body specifically the extremities) for a sharp contrast to enhance the sprite.
B. That left leg. Added some volume cause it looked off. Kindly observe the details.
C. That coconut shoulder pad (encircled in pink) looks flat too which I added just a few pixels .

Number 2.
A. Removed the earring. No need to be super source accurate. There are times when too much detail is a bad thing. Look at Tethys. Banpresto actually removed the spikes on her triceps. You have the option to keep it though but it looks too distracting.
B. Edited the leaf hair on the head. Removed the brightest color.
C. Sword edited to create the illusion of depth.

Number 3.
Upper body placement. Again it looked off. This is where I would divide the sprite into 2 parts. Also added some volume to the stomach area making her 2 pixels higher.

Number 4.
Putting it together. Very similar to playing with Lego.

Number 5.
Editing the missing pixels.

I'll discuss Part 2 some other time concerning the leaf skirt and some tips.

Nice, but from my point of view it doesn't really looks like back breaker.
I would suggest turning a bit S. Jupiter , almost facing camera, then use enemy liedown-bounce animation.

Since my project is "wrestling oriented" I always manage to adapt attacker's pose to the existing get hurt sprites to avoir having to create tons of customs.

It reminds me of Fight Fever where some of the charcters have this move, and characters have get hit custom anim for it.

I use Catherine's back breaker from Asuka 120 for the base so it is more than satisfactory. You may just use Sakuraka's original back breaker custom edit if you don't like it. :)

I have over 2000 to 3000 plus sprites to work with. I can usually finish 2 in a day. If for every time someone on Twitter or Discord requested (I've been getting some of these via PMs recently) something from me and proceeded to work on them it will just delay things.

There was this one member in my Discord who kept coming back over and over again to make special requests and suggestions (I already had my mod gave him a warning) and even went to my Instagram pretentiously making requests in the form of a compliment. He was only invested in interacting with me when he thought he was getting something special from me which I never said. :(

I work hard doing these sprites. It is both mentally and physically exhaustive. Tsukino Ai already quit this style because of this.
Right now there is only 1 active artist working on these projects. As of now I am free to do these but if something were to happen to me these projects for the Sailormoon, Mugen, Ikemen, Unity and anyone wanting to have their own Sailor Moon fan game projects will discontinue.

Continue supporting me and my coders on social media and my Ko-fi page. :) :coffee:

I should stop giving my opinion on others sprite work.
This is not a matter of like or don't like.
Actually, I'm ok with unfitting sprite choice, particularly in old games.

This move seems to be named "shoulder crash"... And this is definitely what it looks like.
But perhaps everybody will thing it's a backbreaker.

I just watched a video of it and this is how it looks like.

I've seen one of Shermie's sprite set for one of her command throws and it actually has the original sprite and a frankensprite of her leg for that frame. It has multi layers.
It's small but it's there.

So when I made that sprite many months ago I made a copy of her arm. And this how it should be layered.
In this case it will have 4 layers. Now I understand why some of the rips I've seen on Fighter Factory have multiple frames of the same frame.

Again I will not do extra work for a sprite I've properly finished months ago.

Part 2.
I've decided to use the edit I've made as reference. Decided to use a different sprite base as I find the Super Famicom sprites challenging when it comes to body proportions. Normally I will go with Elena but requires too much editing. I chose Foxy as she is a sword wielder as Avocadora is.

Some tips.
1. Don't use to many colors.
2. Play other videogames and not just fighting games. Get as many references as you can. In this case for the skirt I use a background forest stage from Megaman X3 for the skirt and hair. As you can see I use other characters as well if there's something I am not familiar with.
3. Make mistakes. Spriting this way is all about course correction. This style will always give you new challenges.
4. Lessen your frankenspriting. Painting over a sprite will yield better results. With more time and experience you will get better. I rarely do frankenspriting these days and it's usually body parts of other characters. The most challenging would be the ones that don't have much reference available like backside or yoga like poses.

Kindly review these recorded streams as they will only last a week in Trovo.
