Hello I am new here.

I just wanted to report that the latest Android OpenBor does not allow screen resizing.

As a guy who mostly play on Android devices now. It get's a bit annoying because the buttons almost cover half the screen.

Why would they disable such a useful feature? Almost every emulator has screen resize depending on the device.

Welcome to the community @MarvelHero.

On your questions, well, to start with, OpenBOR is NOT an emulator. It's a game building engine. Creators are free to make games they build behave however they wish.

Second, Android is a port. The core engine, which I maintain, does allow resizing unless creators specifically disable it. I have nothing to do with ports what-so-ever. If that was removed by the people who maintain Android port, it's on them. I am tagging @msmalik681 to see if he has an answer.

Thank you for the fast response, DCurrent.

The older Android OpenBor releases have the resize feature but I can't play Zvitor's newer releases with it.

So I am forced to use the newer Android ports which removed that useful resize feature.

It's a real dillema for Android users.

you will have a problem here. And Damon stated, OpenBOR is not an emulator, so you will need to use the exact same build the author used to make the game.,
If its 6391, you need to use that build - not bigger nor smaller version number. And that version do have resize.

I just installed the 6391 version. The scale does not work. No matter what screensize I choose.

The screen stretch works though. But it's not enough. The buttons are just too big. It hinders the view for the celphone. On tablets it's the same.

The game I'm testing is Zvitor's new X-Men Apocalypse game.

@MarvelHero Btw I just had tested the game on my phone using 6391 and it works great.
If you want to stretch the image to cover the whole screen, just change the "fullscreen type" under video settings, and it will cover the whole screen.

As I said,
As I mentioned above, this game uses a custom resolution (396x224). The standard 16:9 resolution (480x272) forced the developers to increase the assets vertically because the resolution was horizontally fitted, making the characters appear smaller on the screen.

This custom resolution is vertically fitted, preserving the original aspect ratio and making the characters appear larger on the screen.

Sadly, There is no system folder on the installed android app. Only Logs, Paks and Saves.
I think you got it wrong. you have to put the file under Saves/touch.txt

I can't achieve the desired effect. Mine does not work. I swear.

In the old android version. You can make the screen very small so the buttons don't touch the screen.

The links are dead though.

Just in case someone upload the file again. Should the file go straight to the main folder or I create a system folder for it?

Edit: It say's it can go to the save folder. I still don't have the file.

@O Ilusionista, @MarvelHero

I don't think I have them. The dropbox wasn't mine and it's gone into rot (see also why I since then instituted a soft ban on third party downloads). The old wiki is gone too, but I'll see what I can dig up.
