Setting issues in Photoshop

Sorry if my English doesn't rock. ^^'

I installed Photoshop in a new PC and, several month ago, I can't create lines that connects two points anymore. When I click then MAJ+click, there's no line, just the two points. With my former installations, it was the same case: once PS installed, this operation (click then MAJ+click) works but, one day, and I don't know why, it doesn't work anymore. Have you any idea about the reason? I think I did a certain operation that changed a mode in PS but if it's the case, I really don't know how I did.

The other problem I want to tell is a first time to me and appear since the installation of PS in this PC. Actually in PS the colors aren't the same as the picture once exported. The right colors are those of the exported picture, I can see them with most of programs except the Windows Viewer that shows the exactly same as PS ones. Those colors (on PS and Windows Viewer) are a little darker. I guess it's a matter of settings but the changes I try did'nt work. Maybe I must correct this in Windows settings? Do know this issue?

Thanks for reading.

Hello 16-Bit F !

i just tested on photoshop what could be wrong with your issues,

for the first one, i really don't know, it's possible that your shortcut keys have changed ? i recommand you to go to edition->shortcut keys... and check if the option is there and if this is still click MAJ+click.

for the second one, not sure if it will fix your problem, but it happened to me in the past that colors of my documents changed on photoshop, it could be done due to color changes from RGB to CMYK color format.
you probably did it by pression some other shortcut keys (or maybe not?)
So, if you wanna check if your photoshop documents viewer options are on RGB or CMYK, go to image->mode-> and check which one is selected between 'color RGB' or 'color CMYK'
the good one have to be 'color RGB'.
That's the format for non print images/documents.

I really hope it will helps.
Cheers

Thanks for look into it, Yota!

I checked the shortcut keys but unfortunately there no proposition about making line. Moreover in this menu I notice no shortcut with click anyway.

No, the CMJN mode is not the cause. By the way, just to be precise, I was wrong about the differences between visuals: in PS, the colors are not darker but less dark and less saturated than the real colors.

In order to make a line between to pointzZ in photo shop you nee click somewhere you want to, then holt [shift] en click somewhere els.
PS will make a line between your 1st click and your 2nd click

for the 2nd issue I dont know whats going on there

maybe you can look it up on youtube

You were right to correct me, A-D-EiGHT: in my description I mistaked "Shift" for "Caps lock" (due to my non-english-fluency it was even double confusion because I wrote "MAJ", the french word ^^'). But actually the problem is unchanged because I tried with the proper key ("Shift"). Thanks anyway.

I think I will reinstall it soon and it will get back to a normal mode. But for my knowledge and in order to prevent this issue, I'd like to be informed of the process that allows to switch between the modes, because unfortunately and without my will I always end to the mode I don't want. Speaking of which, if anyone knows how to keep PS scripts before the reinstallation, that's be kind.

Keep me posted!
Oh yeah wen you have reinstalled PS and using it again maybe you can open the history panel so you can see your actions  for when the color thing happens.
