Time / clock

At the moment, no. Some consoles don't even have system clocks, so it's never been seriously looked into.

I was afraid of that. But for Windowx/linux/android this would be possible to add on a future, right?

Don't see why not.

I don't think we actually support any consoles without system clocks. Though I don't know if getting the time zone is supported everywhere, and "time of day" stuff is impossible without that.

Hey @DCurrent @Kratus I wish we could get this added on the engine someday, because the Ikemen devs had added it to Ikemen and now its possible to do working clocks like this:

F3wIcBoXoAABI_H

And this is really neat :)

I can't put it in the next release, but it was already on my mind for subsequent iterations. Since all the currently supported platforms now have a clock, there's no reason we couldn't add one to the engine.

Really thanks buddy. I know you already have a lot on your shoulders. But this could be something interesting to have in the engine :)

thanks @DCurrent .

bonus stuff based internal clocks where one of my favorite things on some gamecube games

i wonder if you could also manage to have the engine read not only the time but also the date, this way some
special levels or level variations could trigger for holidays and such
