Ultimate Zangief (Big Update)

My first completed character. I released the beta a few years ago and then quit working on him. A few weeks ago I decided to try and finsh him and now it's done. Zangief's gameplay is similar to Capcom's VS series. The read me file contains Zangief's movelist.

------Hyper Combos---------

Ultimate Red Cyclone : F, DF, D, any two kick buttons (level 1 power) (must be done in the air)

Final Atomic Buster : circle motion & any two punch buttons together. (level 1 power)

Soviet Power : B, D, F, any two kick bottons together.  (level 1 power)

Ultimate Final Atomic Buster : F, D, F, any two punch buttons  (level 3 power)

------Special Moves--------

Spinning pile driver : cicle motion & any punch button

Mad Charge : B, D, F, any kick button

Spinning clothesline : Any two punch buttons together

Communist Fist : Any two kick buttons together

Violent palm : F, D, F, any punch button

------Throws------

Body Slam : hold forward then hit strong kick
Suplex : hold forward then hit medium kick
Bite : hold forward then hit light kick  (mash buttons only to get extra hits)
Stomach Pump : hold forward + down then hit strong kick  (mash buttons only to get extra hits)
Back Slam : hold forward then hit strong punch
Pile Driver : hold forward then hit medium punch
Face Smash : hold forward then hit light punch  (mash buttons only to get extra hits)
Flip Throw : hold forward + down then hit medium punch
Ally-Oop : hold forward + down then hit strong punch
Red Cyclone : hold forward then hit strong kick  (must be done in the air)
Air Plie Driver : hold forward then hit strong punch  (must be done in the air)


------Special Techniques------

Close standing weak chop can hit laying down opponents many times
Taunt can hit laying down opponents many times
Crouching weak kick can hit down opponents a few times
The Press : hold forward and hit strong punch  (this attack can only be blocked by standing guard)
Knee Drop : hold down and hit weak kick  (must be done in the air)
Splash : hold down and hit strong punch  (must be done in the air)
 
Zangief looks like he has some unique moves, ELECTRO. :) Plus he has some unique FX too. Looking at the shot of that Mecha Zangief, was that Nino who made the Mecha Zangief?
 
I tried him out, he's a cool char to play.  8)

Managed to pull off his mecha super move, nice work.

Just a heads up, the intro gets cut off the screen on some screen packs. (I'm pretty rusty with mugen)
 
Thanks guys! I updated Zangief to fix the alignment of his crouching punchs. Fixed a  problem with bindtime with mountains backdrop for LvL 3 Hyper Combo. Fixed the issue with Zangief being 1.0 compatible with storyboard intro/endings by making two seperate downloads. Thanks for the feedback.  :D

Nope, this Zangief is all mine. I based the Look on a Street Fighter 4 Mech costume.  ;D
 
I Updated Zangief :

1 : Can no longer do Zangief's lvl 3 during Simul modes.

2 : Fixed Glowing Palm.

3 : Rearranged Palettes

4 : Updated sprites/updated ending.

5 : Mech Zangief sprites are now linked to the palette
 
Big update to Zangief. I added in a new air hyper called the Ultimate Red Cyclone, which also morphs into Mech Zangief. I also added two new air throws. One of them is the normal Red Clyclone and the other is a Air Pile Driver. I added a new custom intro called Hammer and Sickle. The intro is only for Zangief's stages. The older hyper called Soviet Power is now Interactive on Zangief stages and Slam Masters LA stages. I just updated these stages today to be compatible with this version of Zangief. Added a new palette called Conan the Barbarian. I also fixed whats on the list below.

Fixed list :
Combo counter now properly displays all hits for throw attacks.
Fixed turn animations.
Reworked combos.
Reworked some animations.
new sounds added.
all sprites now cropped.
changed how some throws where behaving.
Added givepower to hits.
