Music What music are you listening to?

The thread is primarily about music or musical compositions.
For those who like anime music, there's a guy called Friedrich Habetler that makes cool remixes in metal versions.

There's a guy called Vincent Moretto that makes amazing metal covers from many themes, including games.

I usually listening k-pops, and japan pop and game music at khinsider&apple music.
Game musics also help with finding good music for openbor modding.

I love listening to video game music all my life, however this song is main reason I love playing Mona's storyline on Shiva and Lisa 3. I even found the track used in her first stage.

I'm also a drum and bass nut thanks to listening to amen break tracks on Street Fighter 3 and Ape Escape that I ended up listening to songs composed by the likes of Peshay, Seba, Stunna, Tom & Jerry, Dev Pandaya (A.K.A Paradox & Alaska), Shogun, ASC, and even Source Direct.

Well, out of the blue, Youtube put this on my playlist and I just LOVED IT

Rob Halford is the lead singer of the metal band Judas Priest, which was simply one of the first bands I saw when I was very young, along with Kiss and Iron Maiden.
We used to put my younger brother to sleep when he was about 2 years old to the sound of Breaking the Law :)
Seeing him cover a Bonnie Tyler song was amazing.

Speaking about metal, one of the best game openings for me is the one from Test Drive 5. We rarely see this kind of quality these days.
As a bonus, it shows one of my passions, American muscle cars.

Weekly track: Mick Gordon - Rip & Tear from Doom (2016)

wondering how big is the minority that thinks that doom 2016 music is not as good as OG doom music...

i find the tunes good , but too noisy too "try-hard" at times...
on the other hand the originals , even in midi - feel at times ominous

n64 was the best for me, since it was more of an enviromental sounds from hell sountrack.

granted , in doom 2016 the soundtrack kinda reflects that you are the "doom slayer" the terror of demons, (something some doom fans dont really like in retrospect)

and in the original doom you are just a guy who just survives hell, and the music (especially in the n64) reflects this lone guy vs hell

doom 3 - it barely had a soundtrack...

How do you do?
Watched too many cheese horror movies and this kind of music reminds me of them in a way, I don't know, it's weird.
the 80's & 90's had the best horror movies, and the music and them synths had to be included...
miss those times....

Metal is a wonderful family. I didn't even know Nintendocore existed. Do you think Segacore will one day emerge?
If it did, it would probably resemble one of my favorite songs remixed:

Metal covers of everything under the sun....

some of us here in latin america suffer from hearing "the same song" everywhere, but finally in these last couple years video game covers have given complexity to some of the usual slop that haunts our hell holes - kind of a rabbit hole i found since yesterday....

here is one of the best from 9 freakin' years ago,
