I need custom sprites of these sengoku characters.

I don't mean to sound defeatist, but the people capable of creating custom sprites are most likely busy developing other projects.
The first thing to do with these sprites would be to separate the colors, remove the excess black to create a more suitable color, and recolor them.
It would indeed be interesting to develop something around Sengoku 1 and 2; however, for the moment I cannot accept any new projects.

What do you need customized? Or do you need to straight up create those characters in a new style?

I need more actions of that characters.
Just a few? Because it's the difference between making some edits, possibly even yourself, or having to literally hire someone.

I usually use deviantart or fiver. Just be prepared to pay, since it can be pricey depending on what you want.
I'm extremely interested in how it turns out! It feels utterly crazy out there, I don't know how to know who's even real anymore.

Technically yes.
But to be simple : 100% of them lacks something.
Whatever these "AI artists spriters" use.
They will have this "flashy" kind of satisfiying stuff AI gives, but to someone who actually loves pixiel art, they are "empty"
I don't use AI for pixel art. I cannot say, but again 100% of what people do with it i nterme of pixel art is not good to me and lack of "humanity".

AI has a lot of issues. Inconsistency, glaring mistakes... people who say that "AI is the future" are only these freakshows with the infinite money glitch, which allows them to pay for midjourney subscriptions, while the "freeloaders" get scraps of poorly optimized at best and intentionally bad stuff at worst.
It's basically a system designed to lure people into subscriptions so they can get access to the "AI that twitter techbros praise".
It's not even that. They lose money on every subscription. It's a VC pyramid scheme. Get in, inflate the balloon as much as possible, get out before someone else cashes in first and pops it. Good old speculation. Nothing new... Housing Market Crash 2008 -> Enron Bubble -> Dot Com Bubble -> 80's stock bubble -> 70's hyper inflation bubble -> Great Depression stock and land bubble -> railroad bubble -> back and back and back...
LLMs as a technology are not the problem. Heck, I'm on an AI research committee at my Uni and there's a lot of life saving things going on with it you never heard of. But like anything shiny, the bean counters are taking the concept to logical extremes where it doesn't belong.
