Streets of Rage Custom Sprites

Streets of Rage Custom Sprites 1.0

@seahorses I tried to adjust it a little like this

If I'm wrong, you can suggest your options I'll be interested to see :)
I tried to replicate the style by gathering all the resources I found for references. I even used your sprites to study it, I hope you don't mind (Still love what you did with the boots though). This is the result. It's a full conversion from SOR 1 sprite minus the head and upper arm. There are 2 sprites style that I tried as you can see on the attached file.

I see you lifted his leg a little and straightened it
I like these options. They are beautiful.

In my works it is clear that I am just starting to work in this field of pixel art

If you want, you can work with my constructions and in general with these works themselves :)

Thank you for this, I often afraid to share my edits because of my nitpick behavior. But unlike you, I can't draw (from scratch) and can only edit though. I'll take your offer because I'm interested in SOR Police as a playable character. I'll share here or by PM If you don't mind. Once again, thanks.

I will be sincerely interested to see your work. :)

By the way, about starting "from scratch", most of my works develop differently. That is, I take a part from everyone, let’s say from someone a leg from someone’s hand and just attach it naturally, I edit it first so that it fits.

You know, thanks to pickiness you can bring everything to the ideal. The main thing is how this very pickiness will be perceived.

I have a full program of work at the moment. That is, now at the moment I have started working with sprites from SOR 1 where
As a result, I already have the bosses and the enemies ready SOR 1, now I am working on the players and at the moment
everything is moving very slowly Although I I’m trying to work as best as possible, but I also have my old unfinished works on my neck.

New Axel SOR 1, Johnathan Red, Murphy, Jax.

And now about the last one, it’s the oldest concept but never came to fruition.
Maybe someday I'll try to implement Jax, but it seems to me that it won't happen anytime soon
but first I need to finish at least what I have now and then continue to sit and think about what to do and how

@Mr.Hunter @seahorses Thank you friends, applied the updated sprite and it really looks better. I agree with the shading suggestion and would fix the colors after finishing the weapons, but these new sprites fits perfectly.

Here's the result, I applied the SOR1 converted style because it matches with the old one.

Accept Adam's SOR 1 remaster.

And plus custom kick. The idea for this custom kick came to me while playing SOR 4 and it so happened that during
the game he accidentally performed this very kick

And accept a custom palette pack's for all bosses except Mr. X. I hope you like at least some of these palettes 😊

After a long break I feel that I can continue working again

And the first thing I decided to try to work with was character portraits for selecting a player in SOR X

select sor 3.png
Portraits version SOR 3

select sor 2.png
Portraits version SOR 2

You will have to wait a little with portraits for versions of SOR 1,
since their parameters will have to be corrected (since when the sizes are reduced, a pixel mess appears)

And I wonder what @Kratus thinks about these portraits? :)

EDIT: Here are the portraits SOR 1

select sor 1.png
Edit 2: Here is the corrected version of Adam's portrait SOR 2

select sor 2 fix 1.png
And it seems to me that taking the version from the master systems was a little wrong:unsure:
In any case, I’ll try to draw a portrait again later

Ugh, Sega and their their late life dithering... When it comes to the original art, Skate is a big improvement in SOR3, but otherwise SOR2 any day and all day Sunday. Same goes for in game sprites. Anyway....

Not sure about your version of SOR2 Adam. The expression is too tentative, he almost looks frightened. Adam always had a confident look about him. The eyes are also way too large, it's a completely different art style and clashes with the others.

Just my subjective opinion, and we all know what those are worth... ;)

I agree with you about the eyes, they somehow turned out too big😁

I'm always open to any opinion :). Since I'm still learning how to work with pixels and their intricacies.

I'll try to fix this whole thing after I finish dealing with the SOR 1 portraits

@Mr.Hunter Thanks man, I really appreciate your efforts. For now I don't have plans to change the current ones but I would like to know more suggestions.

I agree... & not going to lie, he looks a bit creepy - Even in the revision.

Other than that, the others are well done. 👍🏽
