I read the manual on weapons but I'm still have trouble getting it to work. I know how to set the "weapon" setting in the player and I know how to make the weapon a weapon. But my problem is that the player won't pick up the weapon, am I missing something?

It's possible to control the background speed left to right with bgspeed, but is it possible to control speed up and down? Control the elevator speed, I mean. I want to make a stage where the elevator breaks and it starts falling from a high floor, I want to make it look like it's falling fast!
