bgspeed up and down?

It's possible to control the background speed left to right with bgspeed, but is it possible to control speed up and down? Control the elevator speed, I mean. I want to make a stage where the elevator breaks and it starts falling from a high floor, I want to make it look like it's falling fast!

Yea, I found out the hard way! But I got around that by doing some work in photoshop and made the background in to an entity, works better than I thought!
