Thanks for the info!That definitely made a lot of difference...it looks like i was not using the special move, it's key in depleting birdie's lifebar, and useful against his blocking (it helps that it gives a bit of immunity against regular enemies and even hit them, too :D )

Yes, Chun Li and Rainbow Mika are unlocked in Arcade mode.

I'm planning add more characters and you could vive me some suggestions.

Maki, Mai, and Felicia have all been suggested before. Spider-Man, Poison, Sonic the Hedgehog (by SeanAlty), Terry Bogard (RBFFS), and maybe one more grappler would be nice, too. I believe RBFFS/2 sprites would work the best for the Fatal Fury cast, better than their CvS ones.
 
Poison is almost done.
Maki could be fine.
Felícia could be a secret character.

Raiden could be a cool grappler.
 
I'd suggest cammy and psylocke n.n (And i second Felicia!)
I'm at level 2 now, Sodom is wiping the floor with me x'D i'll work on figuring out his attack pattern and what's the best way to confront him.
Anywy, nice mod :) i hadn't seen much in the CPS style since final fight alpha, after that game, i was left wanting for more.
This is a pretty good mod, challenging, with fun and varied enemy behaviour and thought out boss behaviour (i like the juggling of baddies x'D and the feature of specials, (like in 2D fighters "down, up and B" "down, right and A", etc n.n) is something i've always liked ever since i played the game "guardians: denjin makai 2" and adds variety to the moveset and spices things up from general "jump, attack, and special" formula in beat em ups (which can be great if done right too, don't get me wrong n.n,)

I agree on Sodom. He also feels like a very repetitive boss. Coming right after a tough mini-boss doesn't help.  The Special Moves were a great addition to the game.  Maybe multiple Hypers for certain characters could work, to make each of them unique. I think characters could perhaps use a few more air attacks, though. Again, Cammy sounds like a good pick. Blue Mary would make a fun grappler, too.  I've recently started thinking about some kind of magic-user character in the game, perhaps Popura or Reimi from Groove On Fight. Mai would probably fit the weapon-user character bill with her fan, though. (Maybe Gambit? Or someone from Asura Blade or Big Bang Beat. Miyazato seems the most interesting of the BBB characters, though.)

Also, I find it a little weird that only some mini-bosses get dialogue. Maybe Zangief's special could be controllable?
 
I like the idea of the fusion with/as Final Fight meets Streets of Rage mechanics.

- I know there's a lot of trouble with Cody's running animation and I know it's quite difficult to animate with a smoother transition.

- Zangief's turning animation is odd. You need to fix it 'cause every time he turns, he turns weird opposite side instead of turning transitionally. You can use flipframe 0 if Zangief's turning sprites are from left to right.

- When slamming Sodom with Zangief's Final Atomic Buster near the blue barrels, the camera pans up and both are around somewhere in the sky, but Zangief just says "Atomic Buster" instead of "Final Atomic Buster". Weird.

- Some enemies specifically Poison, get knocked out in air by Zangief's grappling slam attempt (such as D F A) when you perform it.

- Even for Sodom's Daikyo Burning next the wall. He can grab the player who's on top of the wall platform with it and perform it, causing the camera to pan up. I know it's not the camera turning by itself, but panning to the player.

- The running speed for the player, specifically the regulars, seems kinda too fast but until I reached Sodom, I started to stay in distance away from him. Maybe you can change the speed a little bit faster? Even with Sodom's attacks?

You did a really great job on your project.
 
About new character, I think that they should be focused in final fjght/street fighter franchisings.
Maybe the characters from RealBout (Terry, May and others)deserve a own game about them but it will need more planning for a future project.
Cammy, Felícia,Maki or Raiden will be good additions to the team, bit it will need time to be done.
About Spiderman, Im not really into the superheroe stuff.Sorry.
In my opinion Sonic and Magic girls dont seems fit well to the game.

I will fix the problem with the walls  and Sodom's behavior.
I will make some adjusts in Zangief.

I understand why those characters won't fit. But isn't Raiden a Fatal Fury character? Definitely not remotely opposed to guests, though. And well, I kinda think the Fatal Fury thing could just be a mode in this game, before perhaps splitting it off into another mod later. I also suggest Sakura Kasugano.
 
If I can make you a suggestion, avoid to putting many characters from different games.
You game is nice. If you start to mix too much universes (like adding Marvel characters), if will look like all those awful BOR clones out there :(

So far all the playable characters are Capcom ones and I think it should probably stay that way. I only see non-Capcom characters as enemies in this game. Birinbaum’s doing a decent job.

Dont worry.
I will make measerements and tests with Capcom sprites.If the things looks awful, it will be rejected.

Or even worse, something like Clayfighter's parade of strange character concepts… "gulp".

Indeed, go ahead and test out the sprites. I also don't think the burning effect works too well, you should try out Damon Caskey's tint effect script for this game. That would fit a lot more with the CPS2 style. I also wonder how to create a Super Combo Finish bonus in the engine..? A little score bonus per enemy defeated could work, like in the original Final Fight.
