I think this topic fits here lol. It's been on my mind for a while that I may be using outdated software for general use with OpenBOR. I'm still using PaintXP for setting up frames and stages, which is already outdated but the new version of Paint screws up GIF files. I use Irfanview for editing or making new palettes. I had some problems with this and Paint when using PNG files but I just used Irfanview's import and export palette feature for a frame that crashed OpenBOR and the problem was solved. The last app I'm still using is MOSWorkshop, and it's only for making background colors transparent, this is the main app I want replace if I can.
I would use Gimp but I want something more simplified, like in paint, dragging the boarder or canvas opens space for the image automatically, but in gimp, if I drag the boarder, there's space, but not for the image, if you get what I mean. Anyway, if there's better apps anyone can recommend, I'd like to give them a shot.
