Dreamcast compatibility...for fun!

So, I know that many years ago BOR games could be burnt and exported to Dreamcast discs. I had this fun idea over Christmas to take an existing BOR game (that was Dreamcast compatible) and edit my friends into it (reskin) and burn the discs as presents/gag gifts for the following Christmas. What BOR games out there could I extract and mess around this? Did anyone archive those old versions? Thanks!

Dreamcast, GP2X, and Wiz platforms are officially discontinued since build 4453.
You would neeed to search for games which were developed for that build or lower.

Oh, visiting that link was a bad experience:

It's a problem it leaks memory also using 200kb just to use sdl .. New openbor code is bloated and only displays 32bit scripts take even more memory so cant taylor the game to the current updating the code base any further is useless. That's why they dropped all dc support

I get they are bitter with the dropped DC support, but that was a nice thing to say. Also, there is a 'version" by Ripfire, a "closed" version...

DC was a cool console, but I started to dislike it thank to how obsessive it's fans are.

In that case, I'm removing the links. Anything from Ripfire is a problem. He was banned here years ago for illicit activity.

Amoung other things, he was caught on multiple occasions downloading games, completely stripping the original creator names out, replacing them with himself, and uploading as "packages".

Furthermore I'm not using my bandwidth to send traffic and help out people that just want to attack us with no clue what they're talking about.

Sorry for the links. my idea was to show the improved versions made by Ian Michael. Ripfire was banned from DCTalk too, I don't believe he made any version of Dreambor, at most superficially modified something that Ian Michael did. The credit for implementing Dreambor goes to Ian, this created new possibilities for openbor games on dreamcast even today.

It's no big @kdo, I just had to take them down is all. No one is mad at you or anything.

I'm not going to sit here and talk smack about another community. We're all on the same side - kind of anyway. I'm just not interested in promoting them if they're going to make up "facts", like why we dropped DC support. The simple truth is, from our end, it was an albatross. Every console port is, eventually. For that reason, I have no plans to ever approve any port, nor actively support one other than open ended architectures (PC's, modern mobile devices, etc.).

If they want to spin their wheels down-porting features and games, that's their business.

In the meantime, so far as games that work on the DC without any modifications, that's an ever shrinking but still fairly large list. Since I don't have a DC nor an emulator for it I can't name anything specific, but I imagine most of the library made before we dropped 8bit support would run.

I've seen quite a few games modified for sega dreamcast by that guy, if you want to look it up it's in bluesky like ripfire
