Canceled Dungeons & Dragons UPDATE

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
Nice video, monte!

Playing the villains in that special mode looks fun!

I still feel the screen is too small, but so was the original D&D game. ;)

BTW, will you limit character's movement near the edges of screen? they walk in the air, right off the plataform! LOL

I would like to take a look to a huge work from a great game. Is there a version to download or not yet? Thanks in advance!

Since I think Warduke is inspired by Frazetta's Death Dealer, I figured we should cameo him in the game:

I updated the Death Dealer -- shorted the rear end of the horse (thanks for pointing that out btw!), and I updated his helmet.

Also, I made his idle, walking and attack and death anims.  I'm thinking he'll be a striker, he just rides in and attacks for massive damage and leaves.  UPDATE - well now that he's got all these anims, he can just come in and fight till his timer runs out. Maybe the Assassin can summon him as one of his special powers ;)

Lastly, I found this sweet picture of Death Dealer vs Warduke, by Nat Jones who also drew the Death Dealer comic.

Well now that he's got a set of animations (idle, walk, pain, block, attack, spin attack, summon crows, riding attack, death) this opens up some options:
a)  Allow the Assassin to summon him - uses full mana bar, and the Death Dealer rides in and for 30-45 secs will attack all enemies on screen
b)  Have a quest to find the Skull of the Death Dealer, anyone who gets it can use it like option A.
c)  Have the Death Dealer be a boss that you have to fight.
d)  Have the Death Dealer be the final boss of the Hippodrome gladiator arena

I'm leaning towards A, but would love to get some input on this.

A is good but D is a better choice for players who want a challenge like me who wants faces him one on one in arena combat.

Ok I think I've found a solution:
1)  If you beat all 3 difficulty levels in the Hippodrome, then you fight the Death Dealer as a final boss.  If you defeat him, you take his helmet, which allows you to summon him at any time.  It costs a full mana bar, he appears for 30-45 secs and attacks all enemies on screen, then de-materializes.
2)  We can give the Assassin this summon ability from the get-go, since he is only playable in the 'evil' quest which unlocks later on.
