HI I'm Krauser (a.k.a. Cuchara)
My original idea was to make a trilogy, an individual game for each of the 3 main characters:
Shadow Yamoto campaign
Tyler Larcen campaign
Jonathan Blade campaign
and a fourth game that could use the three characters in a 3 players arcade mode independent of the main story. But the first one, the "Shadow Yamoto campaign" has taken me almost 4 years to complete, so just present this only mod.
It is a long hard game, but with a lot of possibilities:
-alternative and secrets ways
-4 Endings in the main campaign
-3 Endings for extra modes
-3 Unlockable modes, with 2 very different ways in each mode
-5 Unlockable characters

In the main campaign you have at least 8 different sub-modes of play in addition to the classic "Beat'em up mode"

-Classic Beat 'em up mode
-2D Fight mode
-2D shinobi mode
-2D Platformer mode
-Drive and shoot mode
-Stealth mode
-Shinobi bike mode
-kunoichi view mode
-Information quest mode
...and more.

according to the player's decisions can be accessed rudimentary level up system, gaining improvements in MP and HP and learning new combos and special skills.
 
you did set the bar very high for yourself, but If you ever decide to create the others it shouldn't take as long. You have a general direction, and the first game is the template for any others. Not sequels, but other stories. Same layout just different chars once the story is written the rest falls into play. Great job on the different modes of play. This is much easier to obtain with one main char.
 
yeah man you're right it is an extremly complex game, but if some day I decide to make the others EC mods I want it so, I have many ideas and I want make them real as I did with this game, but now I have in mind 2 new mods based on 2 different fighting games, I dont know if develop them or not right now, actually I'm ripping sprites just for fun, thanks for your comments Vision!!

This is a homebrew mod using the Openbor engine. I'm trying to adapt the great story of Eternal Champions to the beat´em up genre.

I remember Road Rash (BOR game) was some kind of like a racing game. The idea of that game was very clever in putting racers as entities with players and enemies. I forgot who made that kind of regular BOR game of that though. It was good.

I believe this mod isn't the first mod that includes the racing-like type. So it is the second.
 
Krauser, this is absolutely amazing. I have been a fan of Eternal Champions for a long time, and to see a fangame emerge after all these years is incredible. This is without a doubt the best Openbor mod ever made in my opinion. Thank you so much for sharing this; you did an incredible job on it!
 
By the way, has anyone figured out who the 5 unlockables are yet? I'm trying to unlock everything, but the game is pretty darn hard! I am not complaining, however, because I love really difficult games. I'm just curious as to who the other characters are.

yeah the mod is huge like you say jiam I think there are most than 40 stages and every age of time has its own characters, this translates into a considerable amount of enemies and NPCs, to unlock the secrets modes and secrets chars is very easy just end the game 1 time thats all, I give you all some clues on my trailer video and the in-game video it appears in the automatic intro of the mod, where you can find some secrets and secrets lifes that make the mod much easier

I'll give you guys a clue right now, in the stage 1-3 (the same you fight against Raven Gindar like a final boss) in some place of this stage you'll find the first secret way to reach the "A new god has born" ending (the most impressive of all)
