Sorry but I had to make a new post for this as it is my masterpiece. This is not just a light version of a mod but proof of using openbor as a 2d fighting game engine.  The idea is have each character loaded with just their waiting and selected animations but when you select them have them load their full playable version (weapon model) then load all stages using "setweap 1" to force them to play as their fully loaded model.  This method will save lots of memory and the weapons can be unloaded using my new openbor system command (not used in this mod).  This method can not be used with mods that use weapons.

Anyway here is a light version of Pierwolf's great mod Fighter's History Revenge. The changes are:

Cut down all audio samples.

Removed the update.c version of shadow script and replaced it with my own.

Removed tons of junk scripts attached to the mod but were not used.

Changed saving method level is reset on loading save game.

All player models are loaded when you select them the more different characters you select the more memory it uses.

Disabled player 2 joining after the select screen.

I will bebtesting this one tonight but trust it should run all the way given all your updated input.
You should consider doing a thread with collected links to all your Lite versions so far as your work is an excellent offering to the community.

I have tested the game on the Wii and I didn't noticed nothing wrong (although I couldn't finish it... it goes too difficult in the last stages...).
As I suggested, you removed the slow motion effect when the special moves hits the enemies, thank you very much for this. Now the game is more fluid and better than ever.
The only problem I have found is that when you lose a life and the character appears again, you are invulnerable while the character does his pose, but just when the pose ends and you have the control you are not invincible a few seconds more, so all the enemies are already triying to hit you and when you can control the character you receive a lot of hits without been able to do nothing (this is more noticeable in the last stages, specially with bosses...). I know this is not your fault and it is how the game was done by the original creator, but do you think this can be easily changed? If it is not much code involved maybe you can put here the change.
The other minor error is that in some stages the music of the stage map doesn't stop if you skip that screen, so the music is making pauses while the game is loading... This could be fixed making the music stop when you skip the map screen or not let the player to skip the map screen.
I updated the compatibillity list with this game as working perfect.

P.S.: About the compatibillity list, should I remove the non-working standard versions when there is a lite version that works perfect or you prefer to keep the original release info?
 
Keep the lite versions seperate please.

And I will review ths invincible time.

Edit: I have updated the link in the first post to "Lite V2" now has increased invincibility time on respawn music will stop when stage intro is complete or skipped.

But it don't work for me on PI with build 6315 :(
The original hacked version 2.4 working perfectly.
Like you fix some bugs, any idea why it don't start on PI ? I must use an other build ?

I found the hack-2.5 version from elsewhere and it seems to have some improvements.

1: Cancel the opening and clear the MP
2: Repair 2P, MP display error and change to full MP prompt effect
3: Cancel the special technique of props
4: Cancel the flight props and other benefits slow motion
5: Repair the reading file can not renew the currency
6: Change the direction of movement of the elevator, to prevent blur, MAX-Mp like display error
