Final Fight??

I'm wondering if there is an Openbor project that combines Final Fight 1, 2, and 3, including stages and playable characters. This would be similar to something like SorX by Kratus. If such a project does not exist, what might come the closest? I am aware of games like LNS, but I am looking for something more faithful to the originals than that.

Welcome back @Arkwelder. The closest thing I'm aware of is Street Fighter 89 by @machok. At the moment it's mainly FF1, but with a some extra stages to smooth out the original arcade transitions (ex. It's first stage is you making your way to the slum and barrel encounter where the arcade begins.). Gameplay wise it's almost spot on.

Unless I'm mistaken, they do plan to extend it to cover the sequels like @Kratus eventually did with his project.

Thank you for your reply. I want to try Pierwolf's Final Fight Gold Vanilla, but don't know where to find it. I'm also interested in Final Fight Last Round but am confused because there seems to be multiple versions with different playable characters. I'm looking for something with a lot of Final Fight content but without a lot of stuff from other games, i.e., Street Fighter.

Dude, I literally gave you a link to the closest 1:1 Final Fight clone in the library... and you tried everything else instead?

It's called Street Fighter 89 in reference to Capcom's original intent for FF to be a Street Fighter sequel, not because there's any Street Fighter material in it.

I think there's been a misunderstanding. I really appreciate your reply and will definitely try out Street Fighter '89. I just wanted to know your opinion on the other two games and how they compare. Street Fighter '89 looks awesome. The remark about too much stuff drawn from Street Fighter wasn't directly referencing anything you had said. Thanks again.

Hi, @Kratus. Specifically, I am looking for this:

But the download link doesn't appear to work anymore. I was merely curious about it, and I assume Super Final Fight Gold Plus 3.0 (which I have played before) is the superior version. I am looking for a very complete but also very pure amalgamation of Final Fight 1, 2, and 3 (Street Fighter 89 looks very good in its own right but seems to be primarily focused on FF1 Arcade). Again, I'm looking for something similar to what you've done with the Streets of Rage X.

Btw, great job on that; I have been enjoying the public beta.

I'd suggest Final Fight LNS Ultimate, their last version before calling the game complete was 3.04. You have the seven Final Fight characters and then, no joke, 113 other characters to pick from as well.

I have the vanilla version of Final Fight Gold. I can upload it here, but I don't know if it's gonna be okay.

Just make an entry for it following the guidelines (video, SS, description with good writing) and it's fine. Once you do I'll transfer it to @Pierwolf's account.
