I'm not sure how that would play with 4 characters onscreen, its hard to figure out logical way to use it when playing in 4 players mode
 
Let's Play: He Man - 2014 Beat 'Em Up

Hello everyone, can I just say I love this He Man game that is being worked on here, it's bloody amazing!
I'd like to quickly introduce myself, I go by the name Dodgykebaab on YouTube and post gaming videos to my channel.  Some get hundreds of views, some thousands of views.  Either way I discovered this game via the news story on Kotaku and just had to cover it.  I have some views about the game (improvements to AI, what I like to call 'The Battlecat button'!, etc) which I'd like to share here, as well as to the regular viewers of my channel.

Hey good work and thanks for kind words, im still deciding between having blocking ability or special attacks to breakout from getting killed by enemies spamming the same attacks.That levelmoving in a weird way when jumping back on battlecat is actual camera problem when you ride forward and want to jump back and camera follows you perfectly then background will stop for moment or slowdown rapidly, i can disable that by making the stage shorter but i really like the speedup effect when you jump forward in that stage so i kept it.
I dont know yet what limit i will put on battlecat, it is nice to be able to ride on battlecat but he probably should not have any jumping attacks, kinda like golden axe animals. :)
 
one other thing that would be cool is have a block that ricochet enemy shots, like he man always do on his show

your right this is like playing the cartoon cant tell the difference at all + i all way wont it to play with orko no game has that at all good work guys +
the one on google play heman  has to small of legs but your is just right :)
 
Downloaded and played the second I saw the vid! So good!
Just thought I'd come and say thanks for all your efforts on this project! It's like the game I've been waiting to play since I was a kid!
Are there any details of what's yet to come, in terms of mechanics/features? Would love to find out more, cos the only bad thing about it, was that after 5-6 levels, it just feels very repetitive. Are there plans to add any kind of rpg-ish elements? (Like stats or new abilities you can unlock along the way?)
I'd be more than happy to propose some ideas on things to be implemented, but just want to see if there's a list of stuff that's coming before I chime in with my 2 cents!

well, obvious thing about the demo is that i just copy/pasted 2 levels and switched backgrounds a bit then changed placement of enemies, it's because i liked backgrounds , i couldnt decide which ones i should include in demo and which ones i should leave out + i wanted to play longer, it takes i think about half hour to beat the game, maybe too long for demo, also enemies should change and in every stage should be completely new ones IMO which i will do later.
I'm planning to add mp bar and limit some special moves.
Its easy to say how about rpg elements but what exactly would you want to buy with points for each character, that is harder part, not implementing rpg buying mode cause that's just simple variable , i don't think about stuff like this to be honest its trivial, im always open to suggestions tho, im not rpg fan but it could make game more interesting i guess.Maybe i will add longer air combos.
Id like to have enemies that you beat and they help you later like in my previous game.
My wish is also to create some good animated intro but i think people would skip it anyway after one viewing so... i know i would, i always skip intros no matter how good they are but that kind of stuff is powerful when you play the game for first time.
I will upload new video with a bit of she-ra gameplay.I kinda realized that i have to make her horse too for running stages :o.
I need to change battlecat when he-man is on it, i have to give him regular chaincombo cause he's just too cheap to use right now.
Maybe stages are a bit too long as well.

I agree it's easy to say about RPG elements but implementing them is hard.
Moreover you have to think ahead. Allowing players to increase status will alter game balance and thus add extra work to rebalance the game. You don't want to kill Skeletor with just one or two hits at end of game right?
The more levels you have the wider possibilities of inbalance from status increase.

Really, inserting level up system requires deep and long thought
