How to Fix an Annoying Sound Issue

I was editing a level when I decided to set up the level's sprites, change the music, and add some new sounds.

When I restarted the game, every time the player or an enemy performs an animation, a noise starts playing, like static. And even when I mute only the sound effects, that static is still audible.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It seems very strange to me that this started happening after I changed the music and a level sprite.

We need more details, give us examples of what you're hearing, what bit rate are you using?, what khz are you using etc?, when asking questions please give as much details as you can.

I understand

Here's what I did before that sound went off:

I extracted the files from the .pak file of the game Gunstar Heroes Z using “borpak.” I only took the relevant files from a specific level of that game (backgrounds, characters, and music). Then I moved them to my personal OpenBOR folder.

Then I had to add some paths to the “level” and “models.txt files.

So, when I open OpenBOR, I go to the only level I've selected.

Once inside the level, every time I perform an action, whether it's an attack or hitting an enemy, the sound generated by that action is accompanied by static.

I couldn't tell you what the bitrate of the music is. The music is in .bor format.

But if I need to, what program should I use, or where should I go to check the bitrate of the music?

Well, it might sound strange, but I managed to solve the problem another way.

Unexpected Solution:

I simply deleted the “save” folder, which is created in the same folder as OpenBOR.

I left all the files I had previously added to the folder (some Gunstar Heroes Z files).

Even so, thank you very much for your help. I’ll keep that in mind regarding the bitrate and the sound and music files.
