Excellent idea the Axe, i love it can give the two game play with only one character :)

It is ly frst question, you made a different game than @Pierwolf ? You are not working together on an unique better game ?
I love his select character screen, with characters movements we can see on videos ... I know now you want to let only two characters playable, but mybe we can play with all of them in Arena ?
Because for the moment you have not really work on Arena, i kill one enemy and the game is finished.

I have two bugs for my part :
- How to play : When i launch it, the game freeze my PI :(
- Your game can kill the PI :p lol : I explain, in your game when we kill an enemy, it fall down, when i hit an enemy blood fall down on the ground ... and all these sprinte never disappear ... :(
It is beautiful for sure, but with time, during the boss fight for exemple, there are more than 20 enemies on the ground and ton of blood ... the game heat more and more CPU and after 2 minutes of fight the game become more and more slow :( ... and very hard to play ...
Can you make a script for this ? that remove blood on ground after 1 minute for exemple ? and same for enemies ... after one minute the enemy disappear in the ground like the skeletons come from the ground. Like this we can save CPU and memory for the little computers :D ;)
Or add this script like an game option, if you don't want it on powerful PC ... ;)

hey mate;) i dont know where pierwolf is hiding :'( i would love to test his weaponlord project. my arena is atm only a testing stage for me. i test new enemys there. how to play screen crashes your game? hmm...let me test this the next days. mate dont worry about the performance...i changed the fighting system a bit...in my new update there less enemys but a bit harder to fight! they will have more health and more agression. there will be max. 2 enemys attack you at the same time. i changed the blocking system. korr will not any longer get invisible and slides back by blocking as before. just a bit, so you need to conter after blocking. the enemys will not fall back any longer when you make a combo. btw i now use the bor starter from rise of warduke because the old starter from endless quest dont like a 2 player game ;( i dont plan to make the other weaponlord chars playable because i dont rip them out all to 100%. as playable they need way more moves and its a mess of work to rip them all out again and fit them for the game. my focus atm are animated backgrounds, ki_sha, some paintings and frames on some enemys and the fighting system. maybe i will start an complete new game when i am done with LOK one day?. maybe a game like pierwolf. only fighting in arenas with a new worldmap? i dont know at this stage but if somebody here is motivated to start a simular game i would love to help  ;D

For samsho characters, I would suggest you to give them a really different pallet, so they look like more new characters, customs...
 
jey mate;) i dont know atm how large that chars are so... could be that i must resize them and then also repaint and fix the resize issures.
at first i will finish the new sandra because i will make this char playable! she looks at this stage way better then ki-sha and more simular to the other weaponlord chars. yesterday i play a bit around with some codes. my plan was to delet the fall animation but that looks not realy cool...i deleted that fire bottle throw from that barbarian where you fall back. i will also change some moves and add new to enemy chars. the idea is to make the fighting system more like moonstone. there will be also a blacksmith in the future to unlock where you can unlock korr with battle axe and maybe some other weapons. btw. that knight that i draw was an idea for an character for an moonstone remake  ;D

New Update

Here is a new Update. i found a good bor laucher where the game runs perfect on win10! if you have performance problems just change the video backend from openGL to SDL under options/video


-  changes on some levels. a few are now more easy.
-  new blocking system
-  one new character [BOSS] with kill animation
-  edits and changes on some enemys and kill animations
-  3 new animated backgrounds
-  edits on rastan
-  edits on korr moves
-  new music and sounds

Have you found a solution to reduce the amount of blood on the ground ?
Or the game will working slow on little computers or less powerful consoles :(

mate dont worry! i test it on an over 10 years old laptop and it runs perfect...use the bor launcher in my folder and dont forget the video option if you have performance problems. you can see on my video that the performance is now way better! the problem was an other bor launcher  ;). have fun with the game and thank you!

Arf .... i will try it today but you don't read me last time. I don't play on an Intel computer but a ARM one, like players on Android.
I can't use your launcher, only the one available for my computer Raspeberry PI 3.
For exemple on "Night Slasher X" that i complete last week, there is also blood that fall on the ground, but after 10 sec it disappear ... to remove the sprite. There are many zombies on the ground too, but without the blood the game is never running slow ...
I make you my feed back in some hours ;)

The game is quickly very slow, impossible to play for me :(
If you can make a light version like we have for "Street of Rage 2X" where you remove the blood after 10 sec, there will be less sprite to show to the PI and the game will not slow down ;)
On PI we only have SDL for the moment, no OpenGL :(

Hm okay. I test on my galaxy s5 today and IT runs also fine. Mate i could make a light Version but that will Take some time

Yes Raspberry is only a 1.4Go proc with 1Go of RAM ... your S5 has 2,5 GHz, and 2 Go of RAM :p
And maybe OpenBOR on Android use multi-core ? Not on Retropie. And maybe it use OpenGL not on pi too ;)
It is really a little computer :p
But all the OpenBOR games works on it perfectly, i finished Street of Rage 2X today ... and Art of Fighting - Beats of Rage Remix III  ;)
