Yes Raspberry is only a 1.4Go proc with 1Go of RAM ... your S5 has 2,5 GHz, and 2 Go of RAM :p
And maybe OpenBOR on Android use multi-core ? Not on Retropie. And maybe it use OpenGL not on pi too ;)
It is really a little computer :p
But all the OpenBOR games works on it perfectly, i finished Street of Rage 2X today ... and Art of Fighting - Beats of Rage Remix III  ;)

heres my method- its not the best but its what I do: remove background as much as possible before palletising image (leave a little bit around them as wont be pixel perfect when you do next steps and will need to clean up) then diffuse 75% to make the images look a bit better when creating the palette. then clean up image in Microsoft paint. and then set characters txt file to palette none to get best image quality.

With that said I think real graphics will clash with your art style a lot... it will cheapen your game. There is actually a decent looking hooded mage character sprite that will work for your game, I used it as a base for my simpsons game enemy- if I can find the unedited sprites ill send to you (or can send you the simpson style edited ones?)

jey mate thx! i know your games :-) first of all i will make the photos and then i will take a look on the size...i will repaint all the sprites later so that they will match with my other chars...i know its a lot of work but i love that character. btw i have a good tool that converts pics to pixel and make a color palete...

here comes the new sandra...she is a mix between sandra and jentai so her name will be jendra in game later. she is not finished to 100% and she will be playable!

 
Hey friends  :) long time no see! After a long break i got new motivation to go on with "Legend of Korr".
I am bussy at the moment with character settings, shadows, moves and other things. I have a question and hope somebody here can help!? I want to add finishing or killmoves like in DanteDevils Mortal Kombat the chosen... I am not very good skilled in coding so if somebody here can explain or send an code example...what code for player and what for enemy...i would like to add this as animation like in the Mortal Kombat games.
 
Hi showmaker, nice to read after this long period. You can take a look at my Barbarian game, you've got some examples. Just remember that attack2 (the attack box) is affiliate with pain2 and death2 anims, the same for attack3...
So if you finish your entity with attack(x), death(x) will be played. If you don't have this specific death anim, default anim death is used.

Back in business, eh? Well, I've been experimenting with stuff lately as well. I'm closer and closer to finish the first character in my mod, too.
 
Hello friends. A lot of time has passed again but I am still working on legend of korr. Since I am revising the entire game, it would take some time until the next update. here is a small overview:

-Shadows on all chars
-New enemys
-New playable character [Ki-Sha] Korr's sister [nearby finished]
-Action camera. When you make a Killmove like a decap the cam will zoom in in out
-Korr have new attacks and special moves and a new Sword
-New animated level backgrounds and other level stuff
-A story...and this is the biggest time eater lol
-Fix some bugs
-performance edits for smoother gameplay

Looking good there Showmaker, it looks like you got a lot of time on your hands to greatly improve on this project and your skills as a coder, I can't wait to see the new moves that Korr performs on the full game release!  ;)

last days i add a new special move. korr can call a grey wolf now who help him in combat.
another new special move can you see here on 1:50  8) ... i hope i get some free time to make a new in game video the next days...stay tuned!
