I downloaded version 3 Build 3454 and couldn't find the Linux folder in it. Is Linux discontinued??

Sorry for my ignorance, but I can't seem to find a Linux folder on any of the new builds either.

How can I plat OpenBOR on Linux (In this case, Linux Mint 17)

Linux support was dropped some time ago for lack of demand and no one in our staff to work on it.

Hello,
I've been watching this game engine since several months, but I didn't find the force to begin to post.
Recently, I received a some kind of old machine, a Pentium 4. There I installed  Linux-Ubuntu 14.10. And it's operative right now. But I miss the posibility of playing OpenBor MODS in that machine.
1.- Which is the last OpenBor engine for Linux? to give a try, at least
2.- Could you provide a link to the source code to compile in my Linux Machine? I'm not a developer, but I have basic knowledge of C and C++, make and "all that little silly things"
3.- I request please don't giveup Linux Support. {It's not "Open" without Linux} it's what I believe

So far, greetings to all. Thanks, my favorites are Marvel First Alliance, Knights and Dragon so far.

If someone is interested for your projects...

Greetings

I got your point, but this statement is not true.

Thanks for responding. I said that it's a "believe", a "feeling" even. Most of the open source development I've seen was done for Linux platforms. On the other hand, it's not my objective to start a controversy.

Do you have information about the first and the second points?

I just have this, I hope it helps

If Linux support has been dropped in the latest SVN, adding it back is the first thing I'm going to do after updating, since Linux is the platform I use for OpenBOR development.

It was never "officially" dropped, but there's been 0 support for it and about that much demand. If you are taking up the task, that's great.

Oh, in that case it probably still works fine.  Linux is up there with Windows as one of the easiest platforms to not break.  Since 98% of the code paths are exactly the same as Windows, it doesn't really bit rot like other platforms.  This is why OpenBOR on Linux still works (at least as of r4060 in January) even though the last Linux-specific change in SVN was in early 2011.

Thanks O Ilusionista,
and thanks to Plombo an Damon Caskey for your interest. I hope to give a try later.
