Gotta read up on this Darkhawk character because I don't think I've seen him before...
Anyway, I was playing MFA2 today - again!

- and got really pissed off when I used radio with Punisher: his black van came in and dropped the big gun, but before I could shoot anyone, I got hit with a thrown knife by one of those damn punk girls in the sewers! And there goes away my beautiful gun.
Pleeease, change it so we can keep the gun for a little longer - maybe even until end of level. Why not? Most NPC helpers stay with you for longer time.
About Iceman's Special, what if you keep it as is, but made it "spin"? like Cyclop's Special, but with closer range and freezing enemies.
Speaking of freezing... another thing I've noticed playing with Punisher is that when you stun enemies with grenades, you can start an attack combo, but not if you freeze them, for instance with Storm's Special - they are knocked down immediately. That always bothered me. Could you change freeze to allow combos?
I also played with Nightcrawler on sewers and found enemies took forever to kill. I didn't really notice that before, because I only played him on first stages. On later stages, where enemies have higher Life, it becomes a bigger issue: a lot of enemies on screen and you can't keep them away for long (I'm sure there are other heroes with high speed / low stregth that share this issue). For Nightcrawler, specifically, it's also hard to "aim" his teleport attack (both D+F, and S), so I'd suggest making them stronger, even if you don't up the damage of his basic attacks.
