This is a new light mod for a game that would never have worked on PSP and Wii. This is a cut down version from the original if you can run the original I would recommend that one. Thanks to rafhot for letting me make this. I changed so much a made a video reviewing the changes but a few things I missed out are:

  • Added new walking with tree animation to Juggernaut
  • Added function for killing off screen weapons @wkill
  • Added enemies on Dooms stage so there is urgency to destroy the gate
  • Doom plays a bit better in the flying chair
  • You can now jump over Shuma boss when he spins at you
  • re-worked bosses giving relevant attacks with ranges
  • lowered the quality/size of all audio
  • re-worked Thor's swing move

Big update with version 5 fully removed the character loader and replaced with new fake characters. This is my most advanced Light mod using fake characters for all player entities without getting into the technical side of things each fake character only has a waiting and selected animation after picking them when spawned they will load the full character and change into them by script this will also allow you to change character when continuing and joining in. Also all real characters are unloaded at the end of the stage including all weapon models. Now on to rescue palooza.

Does it work on 6391 in windows? tried everything to get it to work but no dice, crashes on start up.

Lol Thanks danno spiderman was the first character I updated so I did a lot of debug stuff with him thanks for the catch.

Increased maxfollows this may have been the issue with the invalid animation name maybe ??

OMG 16mb ram usage, While i have evolved since my initial war of the gems release i still have many bad habits like big backgrounds, and spawn all the area objects at the start.
Your work will help me to be more optimized, and this release will teach many things to people who have low ram devices in mind

i will test it on my psp when i arrive at home.
 
rafhot these optimizations are a bit extreme and i myself did not use them in my own mods i learned quite a bit when making this and the techniques used here can be used to port other games.  Please dont make your mod with limitations this is just a little hobby of mine that makes me feel like a real hombrew developer lol.

Darknior let me know if you find any bugs or if anything is broken.  Anything specific to the mod refer back to rafhot.
 
Just updated the first post with version 4 changed all weapons to "modelflag 3" this hopefully will fix any weapon issues. I have seen the bug in the post but I could not recreate this bug.

This uses build 6391 and there is no offical support for the pi3 here. Please post in english.

The problem is not the board that the user use, Wii, Android, Dreamcast, PC, PI ... OpenBOR is now every where and it's fantastic :)
The problem is on the games that use old engine :(
Why not using the last 6412 all the last games are using ?

On Batocera i've added 4 builds to help on maximum games, 4432 6330 6412 6510
But it"s impossible to add all the builds for sure ... and many games are using these 3 builds, not the last 6510.

Tatane is using Batocera, maybe he can try the 6330, it's near the same script code than 6390 if no big update has been done at this moment ...

6391 is the last release of openbor the test build by DC are pre-releases. So I will continue to target 6391 until DC green lights the next openbor release.

Ok thanks, i've never read it before.
All the last games of my collection are made for 6412 ... it's why i prefer this build.
But like you i stand for the real final stable release

For example, Avengers United Battle force was developed using an older engine (4420 I think). Currently, I am using 6330 which, like some other game developers said, its the latest stable build.
6391 has some issues and other versions too. 6412 isn't even an official release.

Some changes were made on later ports that had broken the backward compability of some games, like mine. So this is why you need to download a special version of my game to be able to run it on PI and other devices, because those communities had ported the engine using a newer build.

Thanks for informations :) it's interesting.
But i will not dl a special version. We use the version that we have work to add to batocera and modify to configure fine on all the boards with gamepad.
And i know your games are using 6330 like some other ... and it's why batocera include this build :)
But now i know the 6391 is the last stable build, i will see if we can found time to add it too.

That would be a very very big job i dont have that much free time. My next light mod will be tmnt rescue palooza.
